Generic Claritin…
Loratidine is the generic form of the proprietary drug Claritin. It’s an antihistamine and it works quite well for runny noses from allergies, etc. This Amazon version of the generic drug is no bargain. You get thirty 10mg “orally disintegrating” tablets for $12.63. At Walmart you can pick up a 300-count bottle of 10mg tablets–ten times as many–for just $16.30. And here on Amazon, the same 300-count bottle sold by Walmart is available for $18 here (https://www.amazon.com/LORATADINE-TAB-10MG-300-Tablets/dp/B002VB0MM2). If you have Amazon Prime, buy it here and you’ll save over Walmart. The only conceivable benefit of these tablets is that they melt in your mouth, removing the need to take them with water. Otherwise there is no advantage and they cost nearly ten times as much.

They do not work.
This medication does not work. Does nothing. That’s probably why they were priced so inexpensive, because they do not work. Don’t waste your money.

Works as good if not better than the name brand and doesn’t taste as bad. This melts on your tongue quickly and works swiftly.

Comparable to Claritin
These are fantastic! Honestly, comparable to OTC Claritin-D. My kids have horrible seasonal allergies and these easy-to-swallow tablets are perfect for them and they last a while. One a day is all you need.

Good product
This works just as well as name brands. They melt on your tongue instantly and have a light mint flavor. I get really bad allergies but I take this everyday and have had no problems. Very good value for the price.

Convenient for on the go
These tablets are great for on the go. I keep a few in my car or purse when I forgot to take my allergy medicine. It dissolves pretty quickly and works. Easy to remove from the package.

Just works
I’ve taken Claritin, and then generic Claritin for a couple years now. After a week of taking this I can tell no difference, it’s just as effective as the name brand, prescription, and store brand. These are very small, and easy to swallow.

Can be taken without water
This Allergy relief tablet contains Loratadine (Antihistamine) 10mg. The tablets work just well. I always use Loratadine to control my allergy and this one helps me a lot. This tablet melts in your mouth and it’s the best way for those who have difficulty swallowing any tablet. Also, when you need to take a tablet if you outside it can be taken without water. They do not have a flavor and probably no taste which is good.

Just as good as the name brand version at a fraction of the cost
This product comes in a box with two sheets of blister packs of melt in your mouth pills. I can’t place the flavor of the pills but it’s a pleasant sweet flavor. The pills work just as well as the name brand but at a fraction of the cost. Why would I pay more?

easy to take, seems to work as expected
I use store brand loratadine regularly in this dose. As far as I can tell, this works exactly as I expect. I do like the dissolving tablet option, which is convenient. The tablets have a mild mint flavor – a little chalky and not quite like candy, but relatively pleasant for a pill. Packaging makes it easy to separate one tablet and keep it securely wrapped, yet not too difficult to peel it open.

Was worth the buy until the price doubled because of allergy season. Can get name brand at the store for the same price.RIDICULOUS.

Price Increases Faster than it Dissolves
I started taking this last year (2022) at $9.89 a box along with my allergy shots. Because it was cheaper I over looked how its slightly less effective than other brands and the fact that it doesn’t even dissolve properly. More times than I can count I’ve had to chew the tablet just to get it to finish dissolving. Since last year the price has almost doubled in price with no customer benefit/gain. No extra 30% in the box, nothing. Just the same 30 pills now at 80+% more cost.

Adequate generic
I prefer Alavert, but as a generic, this loratadine is fine. If Alavert was not available, I’d probably buy again.

Works Like Claritin, Cheaper and Tastes Like Peppermint!
This is definitely different than what I am used to taking every day for my allergies. Up until now I have been using regular store brand generic knockoff version of claritin. This is different then what I am used to because this is actually a dissolvable tablet that you place on your tongue. You don’t need to swallow this with a glass of water. This is great for days when I am on the go or when I am out and about and have forgotten to take my medicine. I keep these in my purse as spares for those such occasions. I was a little concerned about how these would tastes since other allergy medicines taste pretty awful but they actually taste pepperminty, like a breath mint.As far as I can tell, these work just as well as the name brand. These are even more affordable here on Amazon than my store brand knock off versions are.

Great value for a common allergy medication
This review is for the Amazon Basic Care Loratadine Orally Disintegrating Tablets, 10 mg, 24 Hour Allergy Tablets, 30 Count. As with most allergy sufferers, there are certain times of the year where you can expect the usual watery eyes, nose issues, and/or itchy throat. Personally I like to play golf, so spending several areas on courses where lots of trees, flowers, weeds, etc, can be spewing pollen and other allergens during certain times of the year can be a bit tough. This is where OTC meds such as Loratadine can be a big help in preventing and relieving the worse allergy symptoms. This particular product from Amazon Basic Care has the active ingredient, Loratadine 10mg, that works effectively for me. It’s the same active ingredient and dosage as another well-known brand, if you look closely at the front of the package cover. However when comparing the cost to similar quick-dissolve tablets, this particular product offers a significant savings for the same active ingredient, dosage, and count. The quick-dissolve part is nice if you find yourself frequently without ready access to liquids when you need to take this or have difficulty swallowing pills. However if the quick-dissolve part is not a key feature for you, then you can find Loratadine in other tablet forms that typically cost even less. So, if I can get the same allergy relief for less for the exact same active ingredient in a quick-dissolve form, then why wouldn’t I? And the plus side for this one is that it lasts for 24 hours. This means that this one box will last a person an entire month.

A sweetly minty taste, dissolves quickly and easily
Amazon Basic Care Loratadine Orally Disintegrating Tablets are the same allergy symptom relief tablets I’ve taken for years except this one melts in my mouth. The tablets come in a blister pack container where each one is sealed in an individual dose. This type of packaging is my very least favorite, but I do realize the medication has to be kept free from moisture so the packaging has to accomplish that. I put the tiny tablet on my tongue and wait about 40 seconds for it to melt completely by itself. If I want it to melt slightly faster, I move the tablet around in my mouth. The flavor is sweetly minty which leaves a tingle in my mouth for a few minutes after the tablet dissolves. I’ve had to learn to wait for that flavor to be almost totally gone before taking a drink of my hot tea.I already knew this brand and dose size of allergy symptom relief medicine would work on my symptoms so it is good to know that it still works just as well when I let the tablet melt in my mouth.

Chewable. Not Disintegrating.
The Claritin disintegrating pillow “Reditabs” are a true wonder in oral pharmaceutical delivery. There is a curious pleasure on gets when you place it on your tongue, close your mouth, and the heat and moisture of the mouth cause it to disintegrate within seconds into a light puff of flavor. This is the visceral effect I was hoping for when I purchased these substitutes. It’s the same generic medicine, loratidine, in the same dosage. The form is far more pill-like and the texture is no “disintegrating” it is distinctly “chewable.” Unlike some “chewables” it does chew easily and, once one has given it a good crush between the molars it does then disintegrate. The flavor in these is a little more distinctly spearmint and a little more distinctly sweet than the that of the Claritin tabs.Amazon has seen to it that the pull tabs used to dispense a tablet are marked clearly and operate easily so that even a person suffering from ongoing sneezes and itchy eyes has a good chance of success in opening the foil packaging. These allergy pills work every bit as well. They are a great choice; and there is absolutely nothing to object to here, aside from a slightly misleading expectation that the texture matches that of Claritin “Reditabs.”

Great product to have while on the go.
Great to have in your car, purse or diaper bag. When I was pregnant the only real allergy medicine I was told I could take was products with Loratadine in it. So I picked this up just in case. The fact that these are the dissolvable tablets make them great for when you’re on the go, in case you don’t have or can’t get a drink.

Just Like the Brand Name
Amazon Basic Care Loratadine Orally Disintegrating Tablets, 10 mg, 24 Hour Allergy Tablets, 30 CountThese are quick-dissolving tablets that are perfect for someone with swallowing issues or big kids that don’t like to take tablets. I take Loratadine daily for my allergies and they really work. I have to take them year-round since the pollen count is always so high. These work just like the brand name Claritan but for a lot less.

Easy to Swallow
I’ve never taken a chewable/disintegrating allergy pill before, but I like it. You don’t need any water to help you swallow it, so it’s ideal to take before bed. It goes to work fast since it doesn’t need time to dissolve or digest. The taste isn’t great, but it is what it is. I think this is a good value for something I use on a daily basis. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this review. I hope the information that I’ve provided makes your decision a little easier.

loratadine = the generic for Claritin
These Basic Care generic liquid gel antihistamine pills are Amazon’s version of the popular generic for Claritin, i.e. loratadine. One pill/dose lasts 24 hours. These are for adults and kids that are 6+ years old. This “disintegrating” type is especially good for commuting, since you don’t need water to take them.If you take antihistamines every day (or seasonally), it’s usually a much better value to get a larger quantity in a jar. If you don’t need them every day and only occasionally need them in case of flare-ups, 30 pills (or less) is a good amount to keep in your medicine cabinet.Generics are mostly all the same, so it’s good to shop by price. The price per dose on these is better than some national pharmacy store brands.

Minty taste. Easy to take.
The Amazon Basic Care Loratadine Orally Disintegrating Tablets are my new favourite daytime allergy medication. These tablets are just as effective as any other loratadine or cetirizine tablet in my opinion. They stop my allergy symptoms without causing any drowsiness. I especially love that they are quick to dissolve in my mouth, without the need to swallow anything whole or have a beverage. Super convenient to take these discreetly at work, or even while driving… when symptoms crop up unexpectedly. Since they are individually packaged, I can also throw a few of them in my purse to be ready for when I need them, without carrying around the whole package or a bottle or anything. The minty flavour is just the icing on the cake. It’s really pleasant and I wasn’t expecting it the first time I tried these. Definitely a good product and I recommend it.

Chewable and stops itching skin!
– I’ve got allergies that creep up towards the end of summer and into the autumn. This really helps relieve my itching skin.- I like Loratadine (Claritin) as its non-drowsy, effective in about 20 minutes and lasts 24 hours. I take this and can keep going.- My package has an expiration date 17 months from today.- Tablet takes awhile to dissolve, but is soft and easy to chew. I was surprised and pleased by the mint flavoring!- I love the blister pack as it keeps each pill fresh. Pills stay air and water tight and don’t take up a bunch of space in the bag, backpack or emergency bag. I always try to buy blister pack medication when going camping because space is always at a premium.I’m very happy with the Amazon Basic version of loratadine, and the chewable tablets. I highly recommend!

Good stuff.
Allergy season is upon us. Well actually many of us suffer from allergies nearly year round anymore. Mine typically start in the spring and maybe have a little bit more action during the summer but always pick up during the harvest/fall/autumn period where there is mold, dust, fine particles, pollen and more. So it’s good to be prepared and have something like this on hand. Nobody wants to seem like they have any sort of symptoms where someone might suspect that you’re sick when all it is your allergies. This is comparable to Claritin because it contains 10mg of loratadine in each tab which is an antihistamine. It works well for most of my suffering. Otherwise I get the one at the store with D. Overall I like and would recommend it as something handy to have available. 🙂

They Work
Okay, so they aren’t super duper fast and I wouldn’t use them for a major allergy incident, but for the minor everyday stuff, it’s good.I worried a bit about the taste – I tend to hate dissolve on the tongue stuff. To be honest, the first time I took it, I swallowed it with water. However, the next time, I let it dissolve and it actually tastes okay. It wasn’t nasty at all!So I’m keeping these in my purse so that when I feel something coming on, I can pop one of these in my mouth.I like the product!

Just as good as any name brand
My husband has been taking loratadine since the first year it came out. He has allergies and takes one daily. I thought he might enjoy a little difference by using a dissolving tablet instead of one he has to swallow. It gives you a little bit of change that is needed after years of the same routine.

Quick relief, non-drowsy.
These are sub buccal tablets that disintegrate under your tongue. Because that’s a very quick method of administration, you get fast action. I don’t find loratadine as effective as other antihistamines but this helped me get through the work day without falling asleep. If alertness is a high priority, I’d go with this over other remedies.
