As good as the “major” brands
If you’re seriously considering NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) lozenges, I will assume you know there are 2mg and 4mg strengths, and two sizes (regular and “minis,” which are about the size of Tic Tacs). If you have specific questions, feel free to post them and I will try to answer.Being no stranger to NRT lozenges (I quit smoking 5 years ago and still use the lozenges), I think there are three leading contenders worthy of your consideration: Amazon, Kirkland (Costco) and Dr. Reddy (which many pharmacies supply, but which often somehow end up broken or chipped inside the hard plastic bottle). Nicorette is also an excellent product, but I cannot in good conscience recommend it because, in my opinion, it is ridiculously overpriced and is no better than the three I listed. There are also a few store brands and “off” brands, but I have found most of them either less effective, completely ineffective or downright disgusting-tasting.I think the Amazon 4mg lozenges are comparable to the other top brands in terms of quality and effectiveness. The major discernible difference to me is that the Amazon lozenges are “sharper” (with almost an unpleasant peppery or bitter taste) than the other major brands; however, after initially being somewhat put off by the harsher taste, I’ve decided it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s far too easy to start “chain-sucking” these lozenges and treating them like ex-smokers’ candy (although no one would seriously mistake these brands for actual candy). Since the Amazon lozenges are somewhat less appetizing, I now find myself thinking twice before automatically popping another one into my mouth. The taste is less enjoyable, but being enjoyable-tasting is not what this product is about.If price is your major consideration, I would recommend going with whichever of the top brands is cheapest. If you want an effective product that will work well but probably not tempt you to overuse it, I would suggest giving the Amazon lozenges a try.Whichever brand you pick, stick with it. I quit smoking using these lozenges and you can, too. Good luck!

Works well, more powerful than expected
These 4mg lozenges are stronger than expected, and I should have done more research before ordering but it’s been fine since I can either reduce how often I take them or split them and use half to satisfy any cravings I have. These follow a schedule that takes several months to slowly reduce your cravings over time and they seem to be working well. I haven’t had the urge to smoke and if I do, I just have another lozenge. I’m just starting to get into the habit of taking these regularly and it’s gone pretty well for the most part.These come in fairly small bottles that are easy to take with you. Keep one in your car, one at home, one at the office, etc and you don’t have to worry about hauling the bottle everywhere. The taste is pretty good, but I just felt like they were a bit strong to handle an entire one because I’ve already partially quit my habit and don’t need 4mg anymore. I am taking half a lozenge every 2 to 4 hours and that seems right to me for now. Everyone will vary, I really underestimated how much progress I had made on my own before getting these but I’d consider that a good thing.You do need to do a bit more planning for these to be effective. No eating or drinking 15 minutes before taking one of these, and you need to space them out throughout the day. They also recommend to keep taking these until finishing treatment, and just reduce the dosing if some are remaining even after cravings go away.This isn’t recommended, but I do think smokers who can’t or don’t want to quit could use these for travel or other situations where you absolutely can not light up but you need nicotine. Overall, I’m happy with these. nicely packaged, easy to use, and they work. I’d recommend going with the 2mg size if you are more of a casual smoker. The 4mg size is for people who wake up and the first thing they think about is their first smoke.

TL:DR – Higher price than expected – Better than gum as less conscious work is involved. Over 1 pack a day 4mg probably works, under, I think 2mg would work best. Tastes and has the mouthfeel of an antacid.———————————————————————————————————————–Taste: Chalky ‘Tums’ Minty – Imagine a stale mint from a Chinese Restaurant. Now, understand this doesn’t approach how good that tastes.———Pictures I showed one mint after being dissolved for about 10 minutes next to a whole one and the bottle.If the 2mg is where someone should be, then this one, over time, can induce a little bit of a nausea feel. It also contains mannitol and sucralose, I’m not entirely sure as to why, but I should note Mannitol normally gives me digestive problems and bathroom fleeing – with this product I did not have any of those issues. That it has sucralose to me isn’t noticeable, but I didn’t think this was a breath mint and it certainly isn’t.I looked for price comparisons and found one that has more of the product but costs the same price, roughly a 10-20% price difference, although, I’m uncertain if it is the same quality.These are sealed well enough and mine are each labeled to last well over 1 year from when I received them.I find the lozenge form better than the gum because with the gum, they want all manner of tongue gymnastics and timing how often to chew, then not chew, and it just becomes a conscious chore where at least I’m thinking, “God, I’d rather just have a vape. “For a heavy smoker, hopefully this 4mg will work out. If it’s less than a pack a day, I strongly suggest 2 mg.

OK if you haven’t tried lozenges these LARGE ones are OK. The MINIS are awesome. So awesome you won’t be able to get off them and you may find yourself paying a $100 a month on them every month.So if you want to GET OFF nicotine altogether get these because they will satisfy your craving without making you fiend them like crazy. If you want to STAY on nicotine the minis are a good choice.

Smart Idea
I was going to return them and go back to dipping do to the long wait on delevery but it came in sooner then expected. Not a bad price
I’ve used these nicotine lozenges for quite a while. It’s the same manufacture as you can purchase at warehouse clubs like Costco. Costco sells a larger assortment for $59.99 and it was more convenient for me to order on Amazon for a few bucks more. Hopefully, I can wean myself off of these soon.

THREW ME INTO WORST BLOOD SUGAR ATTACKS, I’M NOT DIABETIC!!!
I’ve always been leaning hypoglycemic. I’d just alter my diet, and I was fine. This was lifelong, I’m 65 now. All of a sudden I’ve had the worst problems ever. I’ve broken out in absolute full body drenching sweats. So I began watching closely trying to figure out what was happening. I’ve only been biting these into smaller pieces because I prefer the mini lozenges. ( I bought these because of a reduced price ) I started to suspect these lozenges, but I thought “How could that be ? I thought they were sugar free ?”So I kept watching. Finally I I’ve asked various questions in the section provided for answers. I never knew there was warnings for diabetics using these. Well, thanks Amazon I’ll be ending my use of nicotine lozenges now. Thanks to Amazon again because they stopped carrying my favorite Habitrol brand mint nicotine gum… I ended up buying Amazon mint gum, tough, and tasteless. I’ll now be ending my use of nicotine gum also. Well I’ll be slowly nibbling on celery. I’ll toss a sunflower seed into my mouth to have something to roll around etc. Perhaps a peanut or almond etc., those type things will help the “arm to mouth motions” also. This isn’t my first time quilting, I realized it was missing the habit of the arm to mouth motion itself that drove me to eat, last time I quit. Maybe I’ll try the toothpick in the mouth thing. I’ll be looking for those type things to replace these. I’ll turn this negative into a positive, by saving money! Thanks to Amazon, I’ll be ending my new addiction quicker…

Helping Me Kick Costly Nicotine Pouches
I was a smoker and snuff dipper for years, then I switched to tobacco free nicotine pouches. They did the trick, and I enjoy using them, but their cost is becoming prohibitive.These Amazon lozenges are working great, and I’m now quartering them. These are working for quitting smoking
I have been a serious hard core smoker for 50 years. I have end stage COPD and am on oxygen. I was so bad that I would even take my oxygen off to “sneak” a smoke. My doctor even gave up lecturing me.Then, my smoking buddy get cancer. She was as bad as me. Her doctors recommended she try the patch’s combined with lozengers. We had both tried everything else so I told her I would try with her. Seemed scary to me but we tried, slowly weened ourselves off the patch and now use the lozengers only. We have both been smoke free for over a year now.I did all this under the care of my pulmonologist. I worried about using lozengers over a long period but my doctor said he didn’t care as long I wasn’t putting smoke in my lungs.I highly recommend these and if you are planning to use to quit smoking, I wish you the best of luck!

I started buying these when I decided to quit smoking. Unfortunately I’m still buying them. My bad. But the good thing is I don’t smoke cigarettes anymore and have it for a while. Good flavor and value
This was a good sized pack and comparable to the larger brands selling similar items. The lozenges are round. They are in a tube which has a cap similar to a medicine container, but while also child resistant, I found it to be so much easier for me to open with my nails than some other brands with similar packaging. The other brand I tried was so hard to open (you had to press down on a tab and then pop it open) that it was breaking my thumbnails when I opened the thing! Anyway, it may be child resistant but it’s quite possible to open it as an adult, with or without fingernails. Other than that, worked as well as expected, good flavor. Minty but not overpowering/painful flavor like some I have tried! Fits nicely in your purse or pocket.

Reasonably priced, satisfy cravings; easy to carry
These are as good as the name brand at satisfying the need for nicotine. I generally prefer the large lozenges because I find these smaller ones easier to accidentally swallow, but I do prefer these for travel because the container is small enough to tuck into a pocket or small purse. They don’t upset my stomach (as long as I don’t swallow them) and they don’t make my mouth sore. They definitely deliver the punch necessary in those times that you really, really want to smoke, or if you use them (as I do) to increase blood pressure when it’s low. I would order these again.

These lozenges are just as good as a lot of the other generics and leading brands out there, I’m impressed with how much amazon is reaching into other products and this certainly did not disappoint!Quality:The quality on these is very good, they last in my mouth for at least 3 hours but between 3-4 forsure, might depend on if your drinking or taking it out to eat. Before it fully dissolves.Flavor:Flavor is lacking tastes like a generic but I find this to be a good thing because it lasts 3 hours I would hate to try and drink something inbetween and the flavors get all funky because it’s mint or something like that.These are best used in conjunction with the gum, for more or less nic and ease of use.I would definitely recommend these! And it being over a 200 count this is definitely for you if your an everyday user.

Not as minty as the brand name version, but a much better value
The mint taste of these lozenges is not as minty as the brand name version. It’s not unpleasant by any means, but the flavor has an earthy undertone that the brand name one lacks. Other than that, I’ve not noticed any difference in performance.The lozenges come in small bottles. The box of 216 consists of 8 bottles with each containing 27 lozenges. While the multiple bottles are somewhat wasteful in terms of packaging, having a small, easily pocketable bottle is a useful feature for a product such as this, so there is justification for the multiple containers.While the taste is not as good, it’s acceptable, and the overall value of these compared to the brand name version is much better. Five stars.

Great Price, Great Flavor and Effective
My brother and sister in law are smokers. My husband and I have a completely non smoking house. We have come to an agreement that when they come to visit us they stop smoking. My brother swears he is trying to quit smoking and this helps him in his process. I keep a selection of gums, lozenges and patches to help both of them when they are here.My sister in law prefers the gum and honestly so did my brother. He said the lozenges burned his mouth and were uncomfortable to eat. This was his first time trying the Amazon brand and surprisingly he really liked them. He liked them so much I ordered him more and he took them home with him.He said he likes the mint flavor and I like the price. Just 81 lozenges of the name brand is $41 or 52 cents per lozenge. These are just 18 cents per piece. A HUGE difference.The fact that my brother will actually use them because he likes the flavor and they don’t burn the inside of his mouth is even better.

Tastes good and cuts down on cravings
Sometimes purchasing non name brands doesn’t always pay off. What I mean is a lot of these off brands have inferior products at only slight discounts. But that’s definitely not the case with these Amazon Basic Care 2mg nicotine lozenges!Not only are these significantly cheaper than the name brand, but they also taste good! I wouldn’t say they taste exactly like the name brand, it’s definitely a slightly different taste and texture. But both the taste and texture is good so who cares! Especially considering they work just as good as the name brand! Totally recommend!

Value pack!
I got this “Amazon Basic Care Nicotine Polacrilex Lozenge 4 mg (Nicotine)” for my father, who is in the middle of quitting smoking. I also got different brands and different forms (such as gum). This Amazon basic lozenge works best.This is an 8 pack of the 27-piece bottle, which I already reviewed. The nice thing is this 8-pack is cheaper than buying 8 individual 27-piece bottles.Here is the review.The good:- Very portable. The lozenge form in a bottle works really well and my father can bring a bottle on the go.- Great value. I’ve got other brands to try. Amazon basic cost 1/3 with the same lozenge form. The 8 bottle packs make the unit price even cheaper!- Effective. My father has not smoked any cigarette in the last 3 months since using these products.- Flavor is good too.Summary:My father is happy with this product and thus I would recommend it. The health benefits of NOT smoking justify the cost of any nicotine replacement …
My husband is an on again, off again smoker, but has done quite well in maintaining his quit. He alternates between the 2 mg and the 4 mg, depending on his cravings at the moment. He always manages to have a piece of gum or lozenge in his mouth instead of smoking a tobacco product. We have been purchasing nicotine replacement in a variety of forms, including gum and lozenges.On one level, it’s exchanging one habit for another. Instead of smoking, he’s now got a nicotine addiction. I have no problem with that because in my book, it’s much less harmful than the smoking. He always manages to have that gum or a lozenge in his mouth, but there are no harmful chemicals going into his lungs. Expensive?
