A good product, but not for those over 60.
I used this to help me sleep at night and it worked. However, when having a wellness check with my doctor, I mentioned I was taking it, and I was told to stop immediately. The main ingredient is not to be used by people over 60 because it can affect balance and the brain. I had noticed after 4 months of using it, that I would sometimes be unsteady on my feet, which was new. After quitting using it, I have not had that problem again. Why doesn’t the bottle have a warning?

Love this for getting a good night’s sleep
I’ve had some trouble sleeping for years and used to get the best sleep ever when I would take Nyquil… but don’t like taking it because of all of the pain killer, cough suppressants and other things in it… so when Zzzquil became a thing (the sleepy stuff in Nyquil minus the other medicine) I was immediately intrigued. I try not to take it often (maybe once a week at most) and reserve it only for times when I really need a good night’s sleep… it works great. I almost immediately feel tired and get solid sleep throughout the night. Waking up in the morning is a little tougher, feeling groggy.. but that passes quickly, and just having been well rested is a feeling that far surpasses the tiny bit of grogginess when you first wake up.Anyway, so as a fan of Zzzquil, I have looked in to some generic alternatives because the price of Zzzquil can be a little high. This Amazon Basic sleep aid is basically an equivalent to Zzzquil. Same active ingredient, performs just as well as a sleep aid, and at a lower price than Zzzquil. All good. The reason I deducted 1 star is a very minor one, I just like the taste of Zzzquil a little better than this… but this isn’t bad at all. I would buy this one as a Zzzquil alternative in a heartbeat.

Trouble sleeping? …. get ready to rest!
I have trouble sleeping most nights so I checked out liquid night time sleep aids and used Nyquil at first, then I found this item on Amazon and set it up through Subscribe and Save to make sure I can get it when I need it and be able to enjoy the savings not just from the Amazon price but S&S savings as well. Taste great, puts me to sleep quickly, and do not feel “lost in a fog” the next day like some other liquids do. A++!!

What I mean by my title is, whenever you have a stressful day or evening, or you know that tomorrow you have a big day where you need to perform, and your mind is not letting you relax, definitely night time, sleep aid from Amazon is the thing that will give you that peace of mind.I maybe use it 3-4 times a year, and after I drink, one small premeasured cup, (that you receive in the package) I fall asleep in about 20 minutes tops. The taste is sweet, and amazing, easy to swallow and it does not feel like you’re drinking medicine.For everyone who thinks that it will be hard to wake up it is 100% untrue. I used it at 3:00 a.m. and I wake up at 5: 40am, relaxed and energized.For anyone who is having trouble falling asleep, I highly recommend the night time sleep aid from Amazon!!

I get to sleep fine normally. My problem is when I wake up overnight. When I do, I’m up the rest of the night. I had been using Zzzquil for a year or two and decided to try this Amazon brand for the much cheaper price. This Amazon Basics version works exactly the same for me as Zzzquil.I take half a dose and in about 30 minutes, I’m back out and sleep through the night.I’m 250 pounds but half a dose works well. If I really want to sleep well overnight, I’ll take a full dose right before I fall asleep and I’ll sleep for at least 6+ hours uninterrupted.One warning, Zzzquil warming berry (my fav) tastes a little better than the Amazon brand. It’s not terrible, but a little chemical tasting. If that turns you off, you may not like this. Not a big deal to me.

Did not work for me: a light sleeper.
The good thing is, it does not make you feel drowsy when you are about to go to sleep, nor does it make you feel groggy when you wake up. However, it did not work for me. I took it at 10:30 and woke up at about 2:15 AM. Because my child sleeps next to me and I am a very light sleeper. So that interrupted my sleep and I was not able to go back to sleep ,however, again. I was not groggy and I felt very alert. I took a second dose at 230 and did not fall asleep until about 5:30 AM to wake up at 7 AM. (Not groggy) Hope this helps a little.

Works Just Like the Name Brand!
All my life it’s been hard for me to fall asleep. I just dealt with it because most sleep aids, even melatonin, didn’t work on me. I finally found ZzzQuil and it always put me to sleep within 30-45 minutes. For a while, ZzzQuil was out of stock/had long delivery times, so I tried this as an alternative.
