Only got a half bucket full before it failed. EDIT: IT WORKS!
It had a half full bucket, that had a mound that was piled all the way up to the shredder spool and then it got bumped by the roomba in the middle of the night, did not tip over but it decided to turn itself on and run continuously until it burned itself out. Found it running in the morning with the motor spinning freely but the shredder not feeding any paper. That was the end.I only got half a bucket of shredding out of the unit. Going to spend a bit more and get a reputable brand.EDIT: IT WORKS!!! Unplugged it and used a pair of scizzors as tweezers and a can of compressed air to clear the paper flour / paper dust out of the shredder wheels that it had been chewing on all night long and now it works again!

Won’t handle 8 sheets reliably but shreds OK
This paper shredder worked OK for 4 years although it would never shred more than 4 or 5 pages at a time without bogging down and sometimes jamming. We got in the habit of only doing 3 pages or less at a a time to keep it running smoothly. A couple of days ago it just stopped working in the forward shred direction although the motor is still good since it will reverse just fine. After checking the cutting rollers carefully to make sure there wasn’t something catching in only one direction, I suspect a problem with the switch itself. It’s not worth it to me to spend a lot of time tearing it down to see if I could fix it. I think we’ll buy a name brand next time.UPDATE 10/6/24 Well, my curiosity got the better of me so I tore down the upper portion of the shredder to see if I could see anything obvious. I found some small pieces of shredded paper jammed into a small portion of the bottom side of the cutting rollers next to the sensor that couldn’t be seen from above. The jammed paper pieces wouldn’t allow any new sheets to be fully inserted into the rollers to activate the forward sensor to that’s why the shredder wasn’t working. I cleared that out and reassembled the top portion of the shredder and it now works again. Of course it still won’t handle more than about 4 pages well.

Great for composting cardboard
This shredder will handle Amazon boxes with ease…. That said I would probably spend the extra for the micro shredder if I did it again. I’ve never hit the thermal cut off even with shredding 5-6 boxes at a time.you can use a larger 5 gallon bucket by taping an old credit card in the slot on the back to flip the switch. It holds much more that way.

It does a good job good quality
I bought this to shred 5 years worth of documents. It hasn’t failed me yet. It eats right through Staples and just about everything I feed it. The only complaint I have is the receptacle on the bottom. I wish it was taller or bigger. It’s only about 12 in tall.

Pretty good
This seems to function well and is simple to use. I would have liked a larger wastebasket to hold the shreds. I like the metal lip that allows you to remove the motor and teeth easily so you don’t cut yourself. I can’t comment on the durability yet. It accepts lots of paper for the price. Good value for the money.

Would give it 5 stars but..
Would give 5 stars but…wasn’t happy that the shredder came with paper stuck in teeth and there is a screw or something rattling around in the top motor portion. Pretty sure I did not get a brand new shredder.Used it right away when I got it and shredded enough to fill the bin completely twice and it didn’t overheat. Only jammed once but I put a pretty thick stack in there so it was my own fault. Cleared out easy though.Overall seems like a good product for the price, I will update in the future if anything goes wrong.

Small Footprint, Shreds Good
This shredder is smaller than I had envisioned, but it shreds what I need it to shred. You just empty it a little sooner. And, honestly, the smaller footprint makes it fit easily tucked under my desk at work. Love it.

Wish I bought it sooner
This is a pretty decent shredder. I am now obsessed with shredding old mail etc. I tested it to see how much I could stuff in before it clogged and it was more than 9 pieces. It also shredding cardboard without any issues.Strong motor, emptying is easy, not a lot of noise. I would recommend.

Three years of workIng
For the price, the shredder should at least last four years or more. I used it maybe once every other week had it since 2021 does not work anymore not even the motor is turning on don’t buy. You can probably get a cheaper one that will work a little better. For something that was not used daily I’m not sure why it conked out.
