Decent Shredder
I was looking for something portable that would do a decent job. This fit the bill on both points. If you’re looking for “heavy duty” that will take anything, beware. It will not take staples nor automatically feed a stack. However, it does a decent job on a few pages at a time and is light enough to take to separate locations if needed. A good value.

Seems fine for home use.
Shreds OK but I wouldn’t push it. Is a bit heavier and bulkier than I thought it would be and I wish that the support arms were sturdier and extended out from both sides. Unless you have the ideal shaped basket, mounting it in stable fashion will not be as easy.

Overall worth $25 for what it is but not perfect
For a cheap small shredder it’s worth the $25 no doubt. It doesn’t feel particularly weighty or sturdy and it definitely has a hard limit on being able to shred through even some smaller envelopes but overall I am quite happy with it for the cost.It is worth noting it arrived with a super sticky substance all over one corner of it that I couldn’t easily remove-not sure what that was about. Also worth noting that it fits *perfectly* on a simplehuman slim open trash can.

Lots of limitations on use
I opened instruction manual and found this little shredder has a ton of limitations for types of paper it can handle. I’ll keep it and purchase a larger machine, as this is so small, I can easily storeit in a corner for quick shred of super personal items. It cuts great. Still looking for a container it fits on, as it needs something with a container opening between 13″ and 16″. It’s the no no this the no that page that I want to warn you about.

Small but sturdy
I had a shredder, but it was very heavy and took up quite a bit of room. Although this one isn’t a cross cut shredder, and it cuts only 8 sheets rather than 20, I’m thrilled. It fits in a cabinet, and I can put it right on my recycling bin, so there is no mess at all.

Not for shredding sensitive info
The strips on this are very wide and because I tend to only shred a page or two at a time, if someone really wanted to, it would be very easy to put it back together. I put a credit card through and because it takes it vertically, the entire credit card number was visible on one piece.The unit itself works well. It did not expand wide enough to fit over my kitchen trash can.I’m not really sure why you’d need a shredder if not for jumbling personal info past readability. I’ll probably return it.

Works As Promised
Works as promised. I was looking for a shredder without a bin. I l like to shred directly into my office trash receptacle thereby reducing potential shredded paper flying around. For recycling, I line the receptacle with a paper grocery bag then staple the top. This product allows me to use different widths, as well.I recommend this product. BTW, why 4 stars rather than 5? I do not place much faith in the integrity of 5 stars (and rarely 1 star) reviews.

Dull blades
Good looking product and does pack the right functions but I tried 2 and both were sent back due to the dull blades. I literally had to cut down the unshredded pieces of plastic with scissors because the unit did such a bad job. Same went for paper, some parts of the sheet were not cleanly cut, just chewed and mangled. All I tried were regular credit cards and 3-5 pages of paper.
