I bought it because it is longer than my existing cable. Who else doesn’t want the red braided cable?I connected it to where the existing cable was, and the monitor was not detected at all. I tried another Displayport port on the graphics card, but it still doesn’t work. I replaced the original existing Displayport cable and it worked immediately. I’m not sure what the defect of this cable is, but it simply doesn’t work. I will send it back and keep it connected to my ordinary black short cable.

Questionable
I do like AmazonBasics for a lot of other household items, but after getting this cable, its presence in the technology field is questionable. First, the port fits, but it wobbles around (not something a brand name cable would do, like Sony), and that indicates that the build quality is off. Second, the display might randomly go on and off at times (no warning, and yes all of the components are in working condition). For the price point, it is great, but I would rather spend a few extra dollars and get something of much better quality. And for gaming, it’s pretty much non-existant in that category.

Needed these for some office workstations. They are very thick. Appear to be very durable and I expect them to last for years. The connections on each end are firm and hold in place nicely. I purchased the 3 foot cable, works great with my monitor, running 1080p, 144hz, Gsync.Must people having problems with display cables are not taking into account the length of the cable. Most cables over 6feet will experience some kind of signal strength loss, or interference. so I purchased the 3 foot cable and have had zero problems. Monitor can also sleep and wake up without a restart

Durable DisplayPort Cable
I recently upgraded several users to a new Thinkpad laptop with a dock that only supports DisplayPort. I found this 10 pack at a great price so I took a chance and I’m pleasantly surprised with the build and picture quality from the display when using these cables. Many of my end users have commented how much better their viewing experience has been since switching from an ordinary VGA cable. I’ve used other AmazonBasics cables and they have yet to disappoint.

Computer Fails to Boot if Connected
I’m normally a fan of the AmazonBasics line, but my computer will never complete the POST process (and never displays an image) if this cable is plugged in while booting. Once the POST beep occurs the cable works fine, but it is very annoying to have to constantly plug and unplug my monitor cable just to boot up my computer.I tried to resolve this issue by updating both my GPU and motherboard BIOS, but that had no effect. I also did a fair amount of reading and it seems that this isn’t a particularly uncommon problem, nor is it unlikely to be caused by the cable itself. In particular, apparently pin 20 is sometimes connected when it shouldn’t be which can cause problems. At this time, I have not tested the continuity of this pin.Additionally, in limited testing, my friend’s

These are perfect for office applications and standard monitors. Managing hundreds of computers on a strict budget is tough and these help. I don’t expect these to be the quality to support intense gaming or super high resolution. I expect it to clearly transmit spread sheets and enterprise software. For that, it is great. Cannot understand the comments of people who try to use this cable to a super high resolution, high refresh display. Why would you want the least expensive cable for the most expensive monitor?

Cable must be held down by zip ties, any movement may cause disconnect
I bought a 10 pack which was on sale from Amazon Warehouse, and I’m not sure if the reason it was returned was because of a defect or because of the issue that I have. I have three 1440p displays at 60Hz, and if I mess around with the back of my computer (like removing a USB stick), the vibrations will usually cause one of my monitors to go black. I have to reseat the cable on both ends, and often start reseating the other cables due to the new vibrations, until they’re all happy again. I did find that zip tying the cable to my triple monitor mount did help a bit, but I do still have periodic issues. I’m happy with it for the price (from the Warehouse, not the new price, that’s not great) but I wish they weren’t so finicky.

So i bought this DisplayPort Cable for my monitor that i bought and it was perfectly on sale when it happened it is high quality with Gold plated connectors which is really good for the price and also reinsurance that it won’t break. The picture quality is amazing compared to my other monitor when this DisplayPort is used it is better picture quality/audio. It was easy to connect especially for a 25ft and flexible as well. Overall I would recommend it to anyone. It doesn’t have to be 25 ft but i think a 10ft would be the best for anyone. 25 ft is the play whenever is on sale especially the 5 pack

Really good quality!
Great cable if you do not want to be limited in monitor placement by the cable length. Long enough to place what you want where you want, and very low signal loss and good shielding to limit interference that can happen with long cords. Very Sturdy, Gold contacts for high reliability connections.
