So bent and folded that they were unusable and discarded
This is an edit to my review which was rejected as I theorized what occurred. I will not do that and simply say, the 50 folders in the box were all bent and folded, to various degrees, and were thus unusable. Since I can’t theorize why they are like this, I have to simply state that this product is horrible as the folders are all bent and because of this they cannot keep any papers intended to be placed into them.

Well made.
Lawyers use lots of “redwells” (as we call them). Good product and price. My only criticism is that they are narrower (thinner) than a lot of redwells on the market; translate – they hold less. That can make a difference if you want to store a lot of documents together in one redwell. Otherwise, these are just fine.

Inside length is right at or less than 11 inches
These are almost 12 inches long. However, the accordion edges on each side are about a half an inch. As a result, the inside length is just at, or a little less than, 11 inches. If you are planning on using these for a variety of papers and vanilla folders, I don’t think these are ideal. If you want to use these as basic file folders without much thought or care given to what you put inside, these will probably work. If you want to add and remove sheets of paper and vanilla folders from the file and at the same time preserve the quality of your papers and vanilla folders inside, I’m not sure this is the folder you are looking for.

Absolutely LOVE these. I used these expandable pocket folders many decades ago while working in law and accounting offices. The beauty of them is that it does not require a hanging file system AND they expand better for lots of stuff. And smaller items that need to be kept with other papers don’t fall out the side of the file folder. Liked them so much — while converting file systems away from the hanging file folder system — that I needed to order a second box.

The quality of the product was very good…my only disappointment was that 8-1/2″. file folders did not fit inside too well. I was afraid, the accordion part would not hold, so I cut a little off of the file folder(s). I have used these folders many times when I was working…and I thought they would fit multiple folders.(only 2/3 small) When I order again, I will order the 5-1/2 inch expansion. (3-1/2 exp. sounds like a lot, but for me, it was not enough).L

Move Over OfficeDepot
Recommend these pocket folders. They’re as good as any you would get from a store but at a fraction of the price. The only drawback is the time it takes for delivery, but with Prime it was 1 day. I needed 5 more for my project and was forced to go to the store. No exaggeration..the price for 5 at the store was more than this 25-pack from Amazon. I feel bad for the brick-and-mortars but it’s my money.

High quality, low price
These are extremely high quality for the price. While about 90% the strength of the ones I was buying, they don’t tear and they are much less in cost. Well worth the buy. We go through a lot of these, so at this point, I have purchased over 10 boxes of these. I plan on continuing to use the amazon version exclusively as long as they don’t change the quality or price.

Yep, these are accordian file folders
I needed a few of these, but not 25 of them. The price was good, though, so I bought a pack and gave 8 to my wife (a classroom teacher), 8 to my daughter (a classroom teacher), and kept the rest for me to use filing my junk for whatever reason I keep it. Anyway, they appear to be sturdy and durable and should last quite a while just sitting around holding paperwork.

Sturdy organizer for papers, good value for money.
I recently got these to hold my expanding collection of research papers. You see, I am a Ph.D student and I hate reading papers from a laptop device therefore I mostly print the papers out. The problem with printed out papers is you have to store them somewhere, so that led me to buying this product. However, I do not regret buying it at all since it’s made of sturdy material, can hold upto 30 research papers stapled, each research paper happen to be around 10-15 pages. So if we take the upper limit of the paper, that’s almost (15X30= 450) sheets of papers. Not bad at all, I would say. If you are like me, searching for a way to organize, this is a very good purchase.

Brown heaven
I thought it would be just another day. I didn’t think much when I saw that dirty once white plastic dust magnet thrown against my office door. I stopped and grabbed it and threw it on my couch at the office. I forgot about it till I had to get up and make room in my bladder for more coffee. When I came back I ripped open the flimsy plastic sea turtle murdering cling wrap and low and behold I encountered these beauties!! No longer will my bank records and dog eared invoices be subjected to cruel entropy. I knew these smooth brown cardboard chambers would be the key to defeating chaos in my office. I haven’t looked back since.

Great price on folders that rival the brand name ones
I bought these folders as they cost about $1.16 each. They are the 3.5″ ones, the 5″ are only available in legal size at the time of my order, so I bought those in Pendeflex brand which cost slightly more and were comparable in quality. The office supply stores and eBay as well as some sellers here often charge much more. These were a good deal and I’ve been pleased with the Amazon basics line overall.

Not toxic smelling like other brands!
I purchased these files at the same time as another popular brand that starts with S and ends with D. The other brand arrived 4 days ago and spent 3 days in a cabinet. I had to return them – they smelled overwhelmingly of gasoline or similar petroleum product. I didn’t notice a smell originally, but after being stored in a cabinet for 3 days, the smell was horrible — like a chemical bomb had been set off inside the cabinet. Smell of the files didn’t improve much after airing out for several hours outside. Our office tries to prevent environmental toxins…..no polyethylene clear plastic storage boxes that out-gas, low or no-toxin cleaners, etc. Personally, I’ve had cancer due entirely to environmental toxins. So those toxic files? Definitely a No-Go!Happy to report that the files from Amazon Basics, received yesterday and setting in the cabinet for close to 24 hours, have no such smell. I’ll be ordering Amazon Basics brand from now on. Thank you!
