Does the job at right price

It is a good little keyboard and has all the necessary functions. It does have a tilt to it and the pieces can’t come off or up and down unlike my last keyboard which broke because of it those small detachable stand, or prop up pieces. This one is on an actual shelf which is part of the keyboard at a tilt on the bottom

    Honestly impressed

I need a spare mouse and keyboard set, and I was honestly blown away at the quality of this mouse and keyboard I knew it was going to be a cheaper material, but was definitely thrown off when I found that this keyboard felt very good to type on and it was built very nicely. If you were looking for a basic mouse and keyboard to use for every day browsing, then definitely get this one.

Great keyboard replacement for a Macbook Pro

Excellent keyboard, totally recommend it for my Macbook Pro, and here’s why…So I spilled some coffee (just a little) on my Macbook Pro keyboard and the Command key died… its an older computer so I decided I’m just gonna let it be broken and get a replacement keyboard to use (and yes, I have learned my lesson!).Tried a couple of $20-30 bluetooth keyboards by 2 different makers, both purchased on Amazon, and both suck for different reasons. In my research I found Amazon Basics, their line of products that they, as no surprise, closely monitor reviews and ratings on Amazon.com and make product improvements based on those reviews. And the 3 Amazon Basics products I’ve used so far have all been superior quality to all other unknown brands.I just love this keyboard! Its well made, the keys feel great and it looks good (high gloss black body, matte black keys). Comes with a mouse too, which I though I just throw out, but I tried it out and to be honest after using an Apple trackpad for a few years, its a joy to use a mouse again :). The mouse is nice too, matte black, very light weight, simple. It’s a Windows keyboard, so you’ll have to re-map the command key and options keys, just use an app like Karabiner, 5 min fix.The only minor gripe I have with the keyboard is there’s no Windows/alt/control key mirror to the right of the keyboard, instead there’s a alt, right-click glyph tagged button, function key and control key (in that order). That strange right-click key is not recognized by Mac, so it can’t be remapped with the app I’m using. So be warned if you must have an identical set up as a mac keyboard on the right, it ain’t gonna happen. Even still…For the price to quality ratio, definitely 5 stars. It would be great to have a Mac version of this keyboard, so Amazon if you’re listening, you’ve got my vote to make one 🙂

I’m surprised I’m the first reviewer

Maybe this bundle just came out or something. I don’t think the keyboard or mouse are any different than their standalone items, so you can probably read up on both of them by searching for reviews for each of the items in this bundle separately. Nonetheless, this is the bundle I bought, so I’m listing my review here. Both seem like great items after the first day of use. I cannot comment on long-term usefulness, longevity, or durability yet, of course. But I’d recommend this bundle to anyone looking for a cheap and simple setup. The keyboard is a little “clacky” in my opinion – makes a decent amount of noise when typing rapidly – but that’s alright for my use since it’s just being connected to a desktop in my room, and I don’t share a room with anyone else. It might be somewhat annoying late at night if you have a roommate, though, for example. The mouse’s buttons click nice and quietly. I haven’t had any problems functionally or mechanically with either device. Again, I’d highly recommend it.Last thing, not sure if Amazon always ships the same items in the same containers, but it comes in long, narrow box, because the mouse is packaged next to and not on top of or to the top of the keyboard. And this box was placed inside a particularly large shipping box for some reason. Again, not sure if Amazon always uses the same boxes to ship items. I just thought it was odd to see such a large box on my porch for a keyboard and mouse. You might want to take this into account if you live in an area that has high crime where a thief might be more likely to take a bigger box simply because he thinks it might contain a larger, more valuable item inside. Nonetheless, it only weighed 4 lbs, so my whole idea on this my be ridiculous.Anyways, 5 stars all the way. I’d buy again in the future barring long-term longevity issues that may arise in the future. If they do, hopefully I’ll remember to come back here and update this review to reflect those issues.

    What I needed

Laptop has missing keys. At less than $20, I use this keyboard instead. Strokes are quiet and smooth. Full keyboard allows separate handling/manipulation of numbers and math operations. Happy with my decision and this product.

Good keyboard, mouse is driving me nuts

I needed another keyboard and mouse after purchasing a refurbished Dell Optiplex 960 from Amazon for general home use. As a rule, refurbs aren’t sold with monitor, keyboard or mouse. After 5 months, I’ve decided it is a 4-star keyboard and a 2-star mouse.KEYBOARD LIKES:* Feel & touch of keys: The keys have a nice touch to them, with low “stickyness” and just the right amount of resistance.* “Plate-style” case: the keys are placed in individual slots on the keyboard, which prevents dust from getting between the keys.KEYBOARD DISLIKES:* The shortcut keys (music player, volume up/dn, calculator) are too close to the keyboard and 10-key. I have accidentally brought up the music player and calculator so many times I ended up super-gluing their shortcut keys in place.* The Function keys are spaced evenly instead of groupings of 4 (F1-F4, F5-F8, F9-F12) and placed too close to the top row.* The shortcut keys I would use most (play, stop, next track, last track) are combined with Function keys F9-F12, which is not so convenient. With the music and calculator keys glued in place, the nice touch of the keys is what stands out most. It is a very good value.MOUSE LIKES:* The left and right clicks have a nice feel, as does the wheel. The clicks are more sensitive than with other mice I’ve used.* The satin finish looks good and feels nice to the touch.MOUSE DISLIKES* I am constantly right-clicking by accident, interrupting mouse control or invoking commands I had not intended. It is so annoying that it drove me to write this review. In 25 years of PC’s I have never had this much trouble with a mouse.I’m not certain why the right-clicks are so hard to avoid, but I think it must be related to the lower profile of this mouse. As per the attached photo, a side view shows how the Amazon has less of a “hump” than my ASUS mouse and my Logitech wireless mouse. I think that somehow this causes the muscles controlling my right-click (ring) finger to fatigue and slip. It’s just a theory, but there is no doubt about the accidental right-clicks – they are a prominent feature for me. Other folks, a musician for example, may have little or no trouble with this, or they may have even more for all I know.3.5 stars is closer to the mark for this combo; the feel of both keyboard and mouse are very good and the keyboard does not collect dust under the keys. With the noted problems addressed it could easily be a 5-star combo and an unbeatable value.

    Dead in a year

Lasted a year, I’m hard on keyboards. Received a different model for a gift and it’s holding up like a trooper. Over two years now. So, you get what you pay for, if a year is all you need out of your keyboard (and you’re rough on your keyboard) it’s adequate.

As basic (but reliable) as can be!

I first bought this keyboard and mouse in October 2016 for $15 and they have still held up well to this day!Personal pros:-The keyboard has a low profile and nice, responsive keys (and an LED indicator for the Num, Scroll and Caps Lock keys) that never get stuck and are laid out far enough apart to easily reach anything left of the arrow keys. I feel comfortable typing on it even with my longer, skinny fingers (that might be commonly seen on guitar players) and can see myself using this keyboard for a few more years yet.-The free plastic layering has peeled and developed air pockets in several places but nowhere near enough to hamper my keyboarding in any way, and this is after years of near-daily use. The labeling is also solid as the only keys that have smudged are the right arrow key (completely), the down arrow key (almost completely), and the up arrow key (barely).-The wired connection ensures solid, uninterrupted use and the LEDs are excellent indicators of a working USB port.-The mouse also has a low profile and is smooth, responsive and glides along my mouse pad. Due to space constraints I use a hardcover 3.5″ x 5.5″ x 0.5″ pocket notebook as a wrist rest (which is surprisingly comfortable) and grip the mouse with all but my pinky due to my finger size, and have no discomfort or trouble whatsoever. My hands and fingers are too long to cover the entire mouse AND use it comfortably (there is a 0.5″ gap between my palm and the top of the mouse), thus people with smaller hands/shorter fingers may benefit more from it, and I may have just gotten lucky in figuring out my current configuration.Personal cons:-The keyboard has only one height. I personally like this as several keyboards tend to have flimsy and unstable legs, and the keyboard tends to feel oddly positioned if they’re not used at all, but this keyboard is angled decently and is perfectly stable. I put it on top of a folded dish towel to angle it a smidge higher, but presumably any surface will do. If this keyboard had good adjustable feet however, then it would really be a steal!-The noise level for the keyboard is middling. It definitely is not the quietest keyboard and can easily be heard through closed doors during the day, but your keystrokes will not be rattling around inside your head as you make them.-Rarely have keys fidgeted for half a second before pressing down, but that could also be from using it for as long and as extensively as I have.-The keyboard and mouse are middle-of-the-road and thus might not be the best for say, gaming and/or transcribing work, but average users should get plenty of mileage out of them.Overall I would recommend this set to anyone who needs a keyboard and mouse in a pinch. The keyboard is consistently responsive with a good layout, nicely spaced apart keys and durable labeling. The mouse is likewise smooth and responsive. However the keyboard has a fixed height, the keys can rarely stick and are somewhat loud, and the mouse can be quite small for some users. For their pros and cons and for lasting as long as they have, this mouse and keyboard set gets a respectable 4/5!

Needed a replacement keyboard and mouse. This will suffice.

Earlier, I ordered an inexpensive replacement keyboard and mouse (wireless). They were not just inexpensive, they were exceedingly cheap. These Amazon Basic keyboard and mouse are not wireless, but they seem to work a hell of a lot better than the others. Those are gone now — these will do just fine.If only Logitech had not stopped making the K800 — easily the best computer keyboard I have ever used — this would not be an issue for me. I still have my MX-series mouse, so that can still be used, I suppose.

A good budget bundle! But you get what you pay for!!

Everything works fine. No trouble at all. But I do have some complaints. I’ve never liked those tall-keyed typical desktop keyboards. I’ve grown used to hundred and hundreds of hours on my laptop, with, um… “Chicklet” keys? Well, typical laptop connected no-gap keys. These seem to be a hybrid of the two. They have some distance to travel when hitting them. You don’t have to hit them hard, but your strokes must be deliberate. You need to be accurate, whereas a laptop gives you a margin for error with “bigger” keys. I find that because of this, I cannot type near as quickly or accurately as I can on my laptop, which has basically the same layout, minus the side calculator-type panel, which… I’ve always kind of found unnecessary…But as far as a good keyboard… Most laptops have better keyboards than this. In fact, most desktop keyboards are better, nowadays. But if you want an example of a “legendary” keyboard, look at the latest Microsoft Surface model/keyboard. Smaller than standard keyboards, but an absolute dream to type on. This is nothing like that. But that should be expected. As far as the mouse goes, it’s a typical cheap usb mouse. It has very little weight, but it works. Why does weight matter? Well, it matters mostly in games, or wherever extra precision is needed. For your average user, that won’t be a problem. But for someone who is looking to game, and well… Is buying a fairly expensive computer to be able to do that… Don’t cheap Charlie it! You’ll be glad you spent a bit more on something better. Although it is not a “gaming” mouse with all the extra side buttons and bells and whistles, I’ve found something like the Logitech M325 to be perfectly weighted and accurate for my needs, which include video editing, some gaming, etc. These are things you want that extra precision for…Overall, for your average user, this is probably fine. But for a person with a high end workhorse, don’t go cheap! Get something better!!Oh, and I originally bought this for my Raspberry Pi because the bundle is cheap. I ended up having to use it for my new mid-high range rig… So take it from me, I know what I’m saying! 🙂

A nice set for basic users

This is a two piece set with a keyboard and mouse, as described. Upon closer inspection, this is a chiclet keyboard like you might find on some laptops. They are small keys, inset into the face of the keyboard with the rubber dome type inputs for the keys. The keys themselves are a light plastic and are fairly responsive. I’m writing this review on it right now, in fact. It’s about the same quality as any budget keyboard, with decent quality plastic. Obviously, you aren’t buying this keyboard because you want the very best, you are buying it because you’re on a budget and want something of decent quality. I think you get that with this set, as I find typing on it isn’t too bad, and it is fairly responsive. The keys are spaced nicely and doesn’t feel cramped. You get all of the keys you would expect. The escape key isn’t too different from the rest of the keys and not spaced away from them, so it may be an issue to some, but is otherwise perfectly useful. Becuase of the size of the keyboard, some of the keys are perhaps closer than some might like compared to a full sized and full featured keyboard. The F keys are quite small, but if you’re like me, they don’t really matter too much. The extra keys, like the My Computer key, calculator key, and they media player key are decently useful and the addition of volume controls and a mute button are also nice. The Amazon Basics logo is unobtrusive. The num Lock key has an LED light to let you know it is on, as does the caps lock key. I found all the keys worked just fine. There is not a lot of surface outside of the keys, which could be a benefit or not, depending on your style of use. I find that it sits pretty flat. There are no flip out risers, so the small ledge at the top end is about as raised as this keyboard is going to get. The rubber feet underneath the keyboard keep the keyboard pretty well in place. I have no found no real fault or issues with this keyboard except for possibly the styling. This makes a pretty good backup keyboard in case your high performance one suddenly goes bad and you have work to get done. I even use it for gaming, where it isn’t the utmost in performance as far as key presses go, but is perfectly serviceable for the majority of users. I have no experienced any real ghosting issues, but I’m not likely to.The mouse that comes with this set seems prettys solidly built. It tracks well, has all your basic buttons, and while perhaps not the most ergonomic mouse I have ever used, it is very functional. The scroll wheel works well and both buttons click very positively without issue. My kids and wife use it on the family computer the most and they have no complaints. In fact, the fancy Razer Tron mouse they used to have on that computer stopped working correctly due to the infamous razer clicking problem. The best thing is that it just works without any need for fancy drivers or software. The kids use it fine with their games as well. We’ve been using these two items for a couple of months now, and they have held up very well. They are very reliable and work just fine for most computing uses. For the price, this is a winning combination for most computer users. The only people I would not recommend this to is your hardcore gamer, as it will probably wear a bit fast in the usual areas and it is just a dome input so it isn’t the best for extremely fast responses, and the key blandness might cause some confusion if you are the type to use a wide variety of keys.

    Very good

My daughter needed a keyboard asap for online schooling .Her $60 keyboard that lighted up all different colors all of a sudden broke. I didn’t want to spend any more money on anything else and saw this . Very affordable and quiet typing and smooth. I really love it ,and I realized it was Amazon and I buy there batteries all the time they’re just as great for a fraction of the price.Totally is worth it !!

    reliable combo

02/03/19i ordered the amazonbasics keyboard & mouse combo on may 2018. i will mostly speak about the keyboard. the mouse was simply a “bonus” for me to keep as a spare.the keyboard is what i’m typing on right now. it works well.i play games like daggerfall, 7 days to die, the sims 3, & warframe. it works great on all of ’em. however, there’s the issue of rollover / nkey.it doesn’t have good rollover. i noticed recently. i’m surprised that it hasn’t affected my gameplay (i’m not competitive, so that may be why). the wasd keys are on their own circuit, but the rest are restricted to a measly 2 keys. i noticed recently when messin’ with a midi keyboard app. that’ll be the only reason i’m looking for a new keyboard.the board’s durable enough. i haven’t been abusive to it, but there are no defects after 6 months. the keys all do the job.the sound is ok — not loud.size? full size but not huge. it’s got a number pad. good.i like the placement of the media keys — specifically, the volume controls on the top-right.i briefly used the mouse. it’s smaller than the logitech that i use, but it feels good. it has an unusual, almost-rubbery feel to it. it’s hard to accurately describe, but it feels good lol. the sensitivity is a good setting (you don’t really need one MEEElion dpi for gaming). again, the only issue with it was the size — it’s small.tl;dr keyboard good. good mouse. good good. cheap. buy? very value…seriously, it’s great for the price.

    Super cheap yet works amazing!

I bought this when I was in a pinch and needed a wired keyboard and mouse to set up my new PC. Since I set it up I was going to switch back to my ergonomic Bluetooth mouse and keyboard but they’re still sitting on the side of my desk as I write this because I enjoy using these so much. The mouse is surprisingly responsive and the keyboard has a satisfying key click. The only thing is the keys are slippery so if your nails are even a little long, the typing feel is uncomfortable. I will have to switch back to my ergonomic keyboard at some point but for now I’m loving this one.

I have to turn off usb port and turn back on then do Fn + F8 then Fn +Esc to get to work Works for awhile then stops again with no changes in use. No pattern. Mfg says it is interaction with win 11 so be cautious

Louder than expected, Pretty uncomfortable for typing, Nice looking, Mouse is great, uncertain on long-term use.

    1. Sound. They keyboard is quite louder than I expected as it isn’t super flat chicklet keys. However, it is still only about 1/2 of the volume of a full size mechanical keyboard. Loud enough to hear (even if you are a light typer like myself). But, it isn’t the worst.2. Feel. The keyboards keys are slightly rigid and not too comfortable to type on. After 5 minutes my wrists are already tired from having to press so hard on the keys. The mouse plastic feels almost soft to the touch? Or smooth? Which is nice as it isn’t scratchy or irritating. The keyboard also stays in place nicely on a plastic desk, so I assume other surfaces it does too.3. Mouse tracking. The mouse is very smooth across a basic mouse-pad. It is very quiet. The scrolling bar has the notches in it and is also quiet.4. Aesthetics. It looks nice for $15. And it is pretty quality material for such a low price point. I was considering getting the Apple wired keyboard but decided that $50 wasn’t worth it.***However, the biggest sacrifice in not getting the Apple wired keyboard is comfort and quietness. This Amazon keyboard is about 10x louder than the essentially whisper silent Apple wired keyboard, although the Amazon mouse is quieter than a wired Apple mouse. Things to keep in mind.***

I am quite pleased with the quality of the keyboard and mouse

I think it would be more fair to review the two products separately, however, being as it is a bundle I give it 4 of 5 mainly due to the mouse. Overall, I am quite pleased with the quality of the keyboard and mouse, in fact, I’m typing on the keyboard for this review. I’ve owned the combo for about 3 weeks at this point. The keyboard has a good feel. The buttons have a medium level of spring to the push. It is responsive to typing and fairly quiet if that interests you. It is not as smooth as higher grade keyboards, but given that it is a basic product, it performs quite well. It is light and compact. The keys are arranged in a comfortable manner. The drivers installed automatically in Windows 7. There are only a few non-standard 104-key buttons, such as Windows volume control, and their functions worked right from the beginning. I would give the keyboard itself 5 of 5 when you consider the value. The mouse is the only negative, while minor. The mouse also worked with Windows 7 right from the start. My only complaint with the mouse is that it is too small for my hands. I ended up using it as my travel mouse instead. It has a good soft texture and it worked right out of the box.

Keyboard and Mouse very nice, easy to install both.

What I would like to bring to everyone’s attention about the keyboard and mouse, is that they both look and feel great. That’s a positive. The keyboard has a nice touch (I have a very light touch) and it is a pleasure to type on here. The mouse and keyboard both do not light up, and I kept waiting for a green light to come on the keyboard. It doesn’t, but being I have everyhing at home HP and I had gone through 3 HP keyboards and mouse accessories, and each time, the HP keyboard, the letters would come off (and I did not have the keyboard for a long enough time for them to wareout. I also had problems with the letter “C”. It kept sticking. I spent so much money on that that I decided to try the Amazon KeyBoard and Mouse and it is SUCH A PLEASURE TO WORK ON. With the HP, I had to keep buying extra letters and numbers because the original ones kept waring out?? This is so nice, and the price was GREAT. I am SO HAPPY that I decided to Try Amazon. What a Pleasure!! This came pretty quick as well and delivered in Great condition. This is a Winner Folks!!

Very sensitive keys, no ‘legs’ underneath to tilt it

This is a value-priced, quiet keyboard and I’ll keep it, but the keys are extremely sensitive, perhaps not a fit for all users. I’m adjusting pretty quickly. My biggest gripe is that it sits flat on the desk or keyboard tray, and while there is a SLIGHT ‘lip’ across the bottom in back, the angle is virtually non-existent, so ergonomically it’s not a great keyboard. I would prefer the fold-down “legs” at the back of the bottom side, so that I could tilt it up for a more comfortable experience.

    good price

The keyboard for my desktop computer was getting old and the most used letters were losing their markings. Looked at multiple keyboards at a big box tech store and was shocked by the prices. So far this keyboard (haven’t needed to use the mouse that was part of the package) is smooth, quiet, and functional. I am glad someone (amazon) still charges a reasonable price.

Nice features for a basic set.

I like the durable, one piece flange on the back that angles the keyboard. I also like the bright blue led indicators for caps and number lock. Lots of extra keyboard function buttons too that replace Ctrl and Alr commands.Wish the function buttons were divided into groups of four to make finding them visually easier.

Two things to bear in mind: 1. This is connected via a cable and is not wireless. and 2. A mouse is included and that also is connected to your computer via a cable. Otherwise it’s basically plug and play, simple to set up, you just slot the cable in and go. Great backup keyboard/mouse set.

Lost Sticky Pads and Vanishing Mouse Connection

The Amazon Basics USB Wired Computer Keyboard (QWERTY) and Mouse Bundle Pack offer a mixed experience. I bought them hoping to reduce lagging and freezing issues caused by air traffic and my internet provider. The keyboard works well, but the rubber pad on the back keeps coming off. The included mouse has connection issues, so I bought a separate one that works better and has a DPI option.Overall, while the bundle partially solves some problems, it has drawbacks like the keyboard’s rubber pad and the mouse’s connection issues. Consider separate peripherals for better performance and durability.

    Cheap and Effective

The keyboard and mouse here are really not terribly remarkable in their own right. The convenience and price are really the biggest reasons to buy this. I ordered it during a snowstorm, and it got here the next morning. Now, that’s what we call delivery. The keyboard is pretty good, a good bit of key travel, but they do make a bit of noise as some other reviewers have noted. The number pad is nice, and the little windows in the keys (scroll lock, num lock and caps lock) is a good touch, as opposed to the traditional setup of having a central area in some corner. My biggest complaint from the keyboard is that, though it is tilted, I tend to like a bit more slope on my keyboards than this one provides, though I did put some paper towels under it and raised it, though it would be nice if there were stands on it.The mouse is pretty pleasant, though it is super light, and feels a bit small in my hand. However, the optical sensor itself works well, and the scrolling wheel is pretty effective, even if the middle button doesn’t always register.I bought this because I need to write a seventy page report and realized (shockingly) that my laptop keyboard was quite uncomfortable for typing at extended lengths of time. In that scenario, the convenience of Amazon was this bundle’s biggest perk as it was delivered to my doorstep cheerfully the next morning. Overall, the whole product seems perfectly adequate, and at this price range that’s about as much as anyone can ask for, especially with the incredible benefit of bundled shipping costs for it.Biggest caveat I can see is that the box it ships in was comically large.

About what you would expect from the Store Brand and the price.

This would be a 3.5 if they accepted half stars, but I’ll err on being generous since it’s a functional cheap product that does what it’s supposed to do.The non-standard parts of the layout really throw me off. Buttons for getting to your root file structure is nice, but not where F12 should be. As a Software Dev and power user, I use F12 and other function keys regularly and it’s a problem when F5 is directly above 5 rather than offset between 5 and 6. I wish they had made these features as part of the FN + F# combos rather than their own buttons.Build quality is what you expect for the cheapest keyboard available. Functional, but it has a lot of flex to it. I often have to twist the keyboard back into the alignment as it will become un-flush with the flat desk surface. Also I know this is a weird complaint but the packaging is the most bizarre thing I’ve encountered in packaging. It has an interlocking-tab closing mechanism like higher-end packaging has so that you have a reuseable mechanical seal, but it’s done on low quality cardboard and they paste a huge and sturdy packaging sticker on top of it so that you basically have to destroy it to get it open. I don’t know what the point of that was; when I was trying to open it I couldn’t tell what the heck was going on.

I have had this mouse and keyboard set for a couple months or something, and I’ve had no problems. Works just as well as any other office mouse/keyboard set I’ve ever used, at a good price. I don’t know if they would be acceptable for hardcore gaming use, but works perfectly fine for general use (which would include non-competitive gaming.)

    Love this keyboard!

This was the first Amazon keyboard I bought many years ago. I absolutely love that the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys have a bright green light on the keys themselves rather than up at the top with such tiny symbols that you have to memorize their positions. I also love the calculator key that brings up the computer calculator on the screen since I use it often. Since then it was replaced by a keyboard that did not have these features so I was ecstatic when I saw that these were back in stock since I work from home and use my keyboard all day long. I ordered three of these but one had a defective space bar. It was crooked and would only work if you hit it dead center. The other two were fine and I returned the defective one and received a refund 2 hours after dropping it off at the UPS store. I hope this was just a fluke as I plan to buy a couple more since I always have at least one spare and want to have a couple extra in case these become unavailable again. My only complaint is that the keys are a bit “clacky” but not annoyingly so. The other Amazon keyboard keys are quieter but I like the features on this keyboard much better so this one is my preference.

You get what you paid for

This keyboard/mouse combo sells for $15 or cheaper. Knowing this, you probably wouldn’t be here if you’re looking for a good quality keyboard or mouse. However I have mostly good things to say about this keyboard mouse combo.First off, the keyboard. It’s no mechanical keyboard by any means, but it also doesn’t feel like the apple keyboards that are very easy to press. There’s a good amount of resistance on the keys so that they feel good enough to type with, at least for me. I can usually type at 90wpm on my laptop keyboard which is not very tactile at all and with this keyboard i can type at around 105wpm so you’ll definitely get a better typing experience if you’re upgrading in that respect like me. The only bad things I have to say about the keyboard is that for one, it’s a glossy finish so it will attract fingerprints and dust. If you don’t care then you’re good. Also, I don’t know if it’s just my keyboard but the left shift key gets stuck sometimes and takes a moment to pop back out. Also there is no adjustable angles. It sits at a permanent elevated angle, so if you like flat keyboards this isn’t for you (however I have always found typing with an elevated keyboard to be better)The mouse is pretty standard. The buttons are nice and tactile including the middle button which sometimes doesn’t feel as clicky as the others. It has an interesting shape to it so it’s somewhat comfortable to hold, however for anyone with RSI I wouldn’t recommend this keyboard, as it is like any other standard keyboard. The finish on this one is matte as opposed to the keyboard’s glossy finish. I understand why they did it but it kind of ticks me off that they’re not uniform. The only problem I’ve had (and it’s very minor) is that the red laser underneath the mouse is VERY bright and may damage your eyes if you look at it.All in all it’s a great option for cheap peripherals that work well. They don’t feel cheap at all. This review might change after a while, as this is a review straight after taking them out of the box.

The hollow sounding keyboard doesn’t bother me, as I purchased this to hook up to my laptop and a second 32″ screen for remote work at the law office. The mouse is whisper quiet. It’s a basic keyboard that I’ve used for decades. It works, and that’s what counts!
