I felt under the weather and grabbed my old digital thermometer to find the battery had died. I went on Amazon to order a set of batteries for it (lifetime supply for a few bucks!) and thought I should probably order a spare thermometer as well in case mine didn’t come back to life after a fresh battery.Got the thermometer and gave the in your mouth part a quick wash with some dish soap to get any manufacturing goo off of it and it worked perfectly. My old one came back to life too so I’ll probably keep one in my travel bag and one at home. Both use the same batteries which last for years, so with all of my spares I should be good for a while! Both read the same temperature so they are either both wrong or both accurate, I’m guessing they are accurate:-).

Easy to use and read
After spending over $30 for one of those fancy schmancy thermometers you place on your head, and not having it work correctly, I went back to basics; something similar to what I had when I was younger and bought this. The only differences are this one has a battery and that one had mercury.Easy to use and read; a great price too!

Does the job but is not water proof
I ordered this while I had Covid because I couldn’t find my thermometer anywhere. It worked well but when I went to wash it after using it, water got inside and it stopped working. I opened it up and died it out and it is working again but be careful washing or use alcohol as they recommend.

Good thermometer, worth the money
I must have 5 thermometers around my house, plus a few of those instant ones – and none of them work. One will show 97 degrees while the next 102 degrees. I miss the old time glass ones. My daughter worked in the medical field for a while and I bought this one for her, and she says she likes it a lot – so there is her expert opinion. She said it’s flexible too, which is nice.

FYI – There is no tip cover
This is a minor issue: The thermometer works fine. I was just surprised there is no cover for when the thermometer is not in use. I have had many thermometers over the years (going back to the glass with mercury) and *every* single one had some sort of protective tip covering for when it’s stored away. If this is something that’s important to you, you may want to consider looking elsewhere. As I said, the thermometer works as described, however had I known I’d be storing it away uncovered, I would not have purchased.

Good Customer Service
This is an updated review. I was disappointed that the thermometer beeper alarm did not work and the plastic cover was not in the case. However, I was promptly contacted by the company regarding these problems and given a refund. Because of the good customer service, I added a star to my rating.

Works so fast, NOT waterproof
I was concerned because my temperature was reading over 99 every afternoon. Because I felt under the weather, and wanted my husband to try the thermometer, I washed it with hot water and hand soap. It started behaving erratically and now, about 36 hours later, it won’t even turn on. So what did I do? Bought another one right away. p.s. my husband’s temperature did read lower when the thermometer worked on and off right after I washed it.

Didn’t work
This thermometer was cheap and after trying it, I can see why. It doesn’t work correctly, my temperature was the same every time I tried it. It kept reading 87.2. Before tossing it in the trash, I put it under my dog’s tongue and again it read 87.2 😳Update*****Seller apologized for the thermometer not working and refunded my money. Great customer service and that in itself to me is worth a five star rating

Inaccurate
Update:Seller offered a refund for the defective item. Really appreciate the move!—-My temperature keeps fluctuating even though I’m measuring consecutively… I paid extra for same-day delivery because I’m sick but this is useless because I can’t tell what my temperature is. It keeps going up every time I re-measure my temperature (re-measured within the span of seconds!). This is not at all accurate, better off not buying

The Soft Plastic Concerns Me
I bought this to replace a similar unit from another company that was entirely made of hard, smooth plastic. On this one, the blue part that goes in the mouth is rather soft. This makes it easier to hold with your teeth as it doesn’t slip out, but… I’m concerned that over time tooth marks will develop and damage the integrity of the plastic’s germ resistance (if any) and make it harder to keep clean. In fact, the plastic feels (to me) like it might even be porous, which one would assume is very bad for a medical instrument placed in the mouth — unless you can store it soaking in sterilization fluid (but I doubt it is liquid proof since it has a battery compartment.)

It is just Ok, It doesn’t beep every time, display not as clear as in the pictures
It is an Ok thermometer, I hope it is accurate. My problem with it is that sometimes it beeps sometimes it does not after a while. I’ve had others and I know I can hear the beeping because even this one makes it sometimes. The display is smaller and less clear than what it appears in the pictures.

Perfect For Hime or Emergency Travel Kit
This thermometer seems to be accurate when comparing it to the one we use most often. We purchased it as a back up/ emergency travel kit item though will be ordering another because it’s less expensive than purchasing the batteries for any of our thermometers. The flexible probe is a plus. I’d recommend it to anyone as a primary thermometer or a back up. For the price you can’t go wrong!
