Frequently Q&A:Q1: Why is the home office shredder not working?
A1-1: Please make sure you assemble the head and basket in correct directions.The front of the shredder head should be aligned with the protruding side of the trash can.
A1-2: Overheating, this design with 5 minute continuous run time with 40 minute cool down after use. Please allow the shredder to cool for at least 40 mins , otherwise it will not work properly.
A1-3: Paper jams can also be one of the reasons for not working. Please use the FWD and REV function to clean up the cutter scraps and the shredding work can be done again.
Q2: The crosscut paper shredder is jammed. What should I do?
A2: Please slide the switch to REV and pull up the paper, after removing the exceed sheets, please shred again. If there is too much paper scraps in the paper feed slot, slide the switch to FWD mode for a few seconds and then to REV mode for a few seconds. Do this several times and the cutter will be cleaned.
Q3: Why is the number of sheets that can be shredded lower than the maximum number of sheets described?
A3: Please check if the paper is damp, contains plastic is too thick, if so, please let the paper dry before shredding, or remove the plastic part, or reduce shredding sheets per pass. To extend the lifetime of the paper shredder, please don’t shred more than 8 sheets at one time.
Q4: The shredder is broken, but the return window is closed. What should I do?

PAPER SHREDDER
So far so good. I have been very happy with the shredder. Only issue is they don’t recommend putting a garbage bag in the bucket for the shredded paper. It makes a little mess when I am taking off the lid and emptying out the bucket. Otherwise it works very well.

Durable, easy to work with
I’ve purchased 3-4 other shredders over the years and this one beats them all. It shreds up to 12 sheets of paper at a time and doesn’t jam like the others. Very easy to empty (with the convenient top handle) and it doesn’t have wheels, which may be a disadvantage to some but I always felt the wheels (on the others) made it feel top heavy and likely to tip over. Only comment I would add is I would have liked a deeper bucket… this is why I gave it a 4-star review instead of 5. Overall, a great shredder at a fair price.

Bigger Bin And Put On Wheels
Someone in college has my prized shredder. It’s DURABILITY raving review scare them? I wanted to BUY a new one, and it was…. gone.This crashes, has a tinier bin, NO wheels.”Paper Jam”?I feed it a stiff cardboard. FAILS, I flip it over,flat head screw driver and PULL a teeth-tooth using the side as leverage.I can tell which side is jammed by repeating and paper comes out the dark side holes. If saves me from using warranty or picking a new machine.Problem is the small bin, and paper on the rolls like hair on a brush. One hand pulls it up, other tries to knock it all off.Emptying the tiny bin makes a mess and causes MOST of my paper jams by filling faster.The machine makes PLASTICY sounds. Is shredded paper going to rip up the plastic top???That is how it sounds.I know my machine’s potential. To any other unlike me, a protection plan is a must.This will bring out anxiety to the timid.I still have mine for I know it’s potential.

Impossible to get unstuck
So this thing worked great for maybe 3 hours and I was in a frenzy of shedding old documents—feeding them in back to back making great progress. Then I guess in my excitement I added slightly too much paper (I wasn’t counting) and it got jammed. So take the instructions seriously about the max number of papers and thickness of them. I’m not giving it a lower rating for getting jammed—bc that’s my fault. But why I am rating it low is bc it’s been humanly impossible to get it un-jammed regardless of how many times I try to reverse it or push it through or use tools, etc. SO, all in all it was a great shredder for a few hours and now it’s just sitting in my office….i hate to throw it out but I don’t know what else to do.

Shredding is addictive
Got this little guy on a deal and it was delivered within hours. Pop the top on, plug it in, and shred away. No issues with the machine after shredding my first garbage bag full of documents, so I feel this is a good little appliance for the money.

Survived a trial by fire.
I will admit that I bought this product knowing that it might not make it though it’s initial use. I’ve gone through several shredders in my life and they all seem to suffer the same fate. They quickly overheat. The overheating damages the controls in some way, like the auto setting never shuts off, etc. Since my last shredder died I had accumulated a stack of paper that needed shredding and I was planning to take it to the mailbox store, but it felt very uncomfortable handing these documents to strangers on the assumption that they were honest.Instead I decided I would buy a new one and if it fails, I’ll just replace it. Turns out that wasn’t necessary. This unit was able to go through a years worth of bills, bank statements, mail, etc. and did it like a champ. Now, I did space this job over a couple days and I never did so much at one time that it triggered the overheat light, but the machine never struggled and was able to get quite a bit done before I could feel the vent in the back was getting warm. Now I keep it next to my desk, thanks to the small size of the shredded paper it outputs, it’s a smaller unit that I’ve had in the past but can hold quite a bit before having the be emptied. After getting through 30 lbs of documents, I have little doubt this will be an ideal fit moving forward and shredding as I go.

Small but mighty!
I was initially hesitant about this purchase. The price was ony $60 bucks and all the other shredders at $200 had much poorer reviews. I have no idea why this little shredder is so powerful, but it does a fantastic job for home use shredding. It cuts through 10 pages at the same rate as 2 pages. It also micro shreds with ease. There is absolutely no way you can reassemble the bits of paper. The entire shredder sits on a bucket, so you don’t have the mess with pulling out a separate trash can that spills over onto the floor. Excellent purchase. It also has a retractable handle to lift the shredder. I also purchased a large bottle of shredder oil for 8 bucks to keep things humming.

Easy to use handle
My Staples shredder kept jamming up, and lifting the top off was too difficult because the motor part was so heavy. I bought the Bonsaii one because it had a handle making it so easy to lift up from the basket. It’s slightly slower in the shedding process but I realized it’s because it shreds better than thin strands and shreds the papers very well. I’ve shredded many papers and not once experienced overheating.

It will be perfect for our household now that we caught up with cleaning out our old backlog. We are in the process of cleaning out stored old files that are no longer needed. If I was starting again I would have looked for a larger size bucket as I felt I spent more time dumping the bucket than shredding. It does work well.

At twelve sheets it cuts but slow. I usually use 8-9 sheets without any problems. I went through (2) years of old tax returns without clogging machine. My old 4- or 6-page shredder has been moved to a backup role.

Absolute workhorse!!
It’s only been an occasional use shredder until now. Today, we decided to clean out some old file boxes and the file cabinet and spent several hours shredding almost nonstop. This beast never slowed down or overheated. I just lubricated the cutters occasionally with some vegetable oil and it screamed right along without a hitch. Highly recommended.

Great Shredder!
I had a 15 year old shredder that finally died so I got this one. I really like the way it shreds everything into bits (instead of long strips like my old one). The window in the catch bucket is super helpful to see when its getting full. It powers through old mail, papers, etc., with no issue. I saw some reviews about how loud it is. I don’t find it overly loud for a shredder. All shredders are pretty noisy, but its much quieter than my old one that sounded like someone was driving a tractor through my office. I have shredded multiple 13 gallon size worth of papers and mail with this and would highly recommend it.
