   Awesome!!!

   I had 25 years of documents I’ve been moving around that I didn’t know what to do with.There are places that will shred for you but they are about $1 a pound and I had well over 100 lbs. And I had to get it there. I decided to get this shredder as 1 reviewer said they had about 10,000 documents that he shredded on it. I know I had at least that. I was concerned it would burn up before I’d get finished since I had so much so I followed the directions about what shouldn’t go in it. So I did a lot of prep work. It said you could put staples and paper clips through it. I put staples but not paper clips. It worked out because I prepped for shredding while it was cooling off. Five minutes (you will be amazed how much you can shred in 5 minutes) shredding to 40 minutes cooling off. I did this for about a week 5-6 hrs a day. I used the oil sheets from the seller after every 30 minutes of shredding. I had ONE jam and that was because I let the basket fill up too much and it shut off. Otherwise it was perfect. You can’t go wrong with this shredder. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. If you are buying a shredder for just general home use with no huge jobs you could probably go with this sellers’ smaller model but for businesses or heavy home use this one is wonderful.

   Best Affordable Shredder

   I purchased this on the fly when my other shredder died. I won’t mention the brand, but I had been through THREE of them in a little over a year. I needed a household shredder, not an industrial business one, and when I ordered the Bonsaii, I was skeptical, for the price, that it would hold up long either. But, alas, this shredder rocks the job! It also shreds in smaller pieces, making the capacity larger and not needing to be dumped as frequently. It has daily use and I’m happy with it. It’s clean, grinds efficiently, and is relatively quiet. I highly recommend this shredder for anyone looking for a solution to getting rid of sensitive home office documents and junk mail!

   Worth every penny

   This showed up today, I’ve had it plugged in and going for less than an hour, and I gotta say… If it broke tonight, I would have gotten every cent of my money’s worth. I got it specifically for shredding paper and cardboard for vermicompost bedding, and I seem to work in the sweet spot timing wise where I break down cardboard to feed it just slow enough for it to not overheat at all. It handles the normal corrugated shipping box cardboard AMAZINGLY, with only very rare occasions needed to help push it along. Otherwise it happily slurps everything down on it’s own, without even so much as making any “under stress” sounds. I would say my only complaint is that it’s just not quite wide enough for standard manilla envelopes to go in all in their own. God forbid I have to rip them in half to feed the beast.If you’re using this at home to just disappear all the mail spam or 25% APR credit card offers, this machine is so much more than capable. The auto feed grab and slurp bit of if it will happily gobble away all of that nonsense with minimal effort.If you’re pushing it a bit further, it’s still an absolute powerhouse of a machine. Just one you have to actually monitor while feeding.If I break it anytime soon, I may update the review to reflect that, but as it stands… This thing has already made itself completely worthwhile.

   An absolute powerhouse of a shredder!

   Apr 2023 Update: 6+ months and this thing is still going strong! Just bought shredder oil sheets for the first time ever because how durable it’s been!Original Review: So far this is the best shredder I’ve ever owned by a wide margin! Glad I spent a little bit more money on a much higher quality product (I got the 10min one too), this is the best bang for your buck!I’ve had a few shredders before in the ~$40 range (mostly Staples ones) that broke pretty quickly — this one really doesn’t cost that much more, comparatively. They’d only be able to do like 5 sheets (nowhere near 12) and eventually plastic bits would start falling out of the insides and it would stop working. If you put in like 4 sheets and folded one accidentally, those would jam immediately. Then the jams would be hard to clear and could damage the shredder. Or you’d run it for like a minute and it would start overheating already and start malfunctioning.So far, with this shredder, in a few weeks’ time period, I already shredded more than I have in the past 5 years combined. Probably did like ~10,000 sheets of lots of old documents. That’s how much of a powerhouse this shredder is compared to all the other ones I’ve owned previously! So it’s been easily worth the money already as it has outlasted the others that would start malfunctioning at ~1,000 sheets.It’s also never jammed on me! I’ve never tried 12 sheets on it, but it’ll do 6 sheets no problem, whereas my previous shredders would start falling apart — literally — if you tried 6 sheets.And this thing can run for like an hour without overheating! Like I get tired out and I have to take a break well before it overheats. Whereas with previous ones, I’d spend like 2 minutes and already had to wait for it to cool down. Now the bottleneck isn’t the shredder, but me!Also, because it’s been so durable so far, I’m no longer afraid of shredding things here and there, worried that the shredder might suddenly break. Sometimes I shred some old documents as a therapeutic, meditative activity now — shred your worries away xDIt also holds more paper than my previous shredders before I have to clean it out. And while it is taller than I expected, that surprisingly made it more ergonomic so I didn’t have to lean over as much while shredding.As some reviewers have noted, when I got it I did check the insides and did see some bits of shredded paper. That seemed sketchy, but it does say on the note that comes with it that they “test every shredder” and so that’s why you might see some leftover bits. And honestly, even if it is used, it’s outlasted my previous shredders by a 10x margin already, so it’s good quality stuff either way.So, overall, well worth the price, best bag for my buck I’ve had with a shredder. Bonsaii also has a 1-year warranty (and the reviews seem to say that they’ve made good on that too!), which is why I originally bought it with my past shredder purchases going awry. But I guess it’s as they say, if a company is confident in such a long warranty, the product probably isn’t going to break quickly! Hoping to have this last for many more years 🙂

   Product is good. The support is outstanding.

   Nine months ago, I ordered one of these shredders.I’ve not been a “casual” user. I have used the shredder to chop up surplus paper for worm beds and the little buggers eat more than you would think. I’ve been a HEAVY user of the shredder, bordering on abusive.A few days ago, the shredder quit. “NO MAS!” it cried out.Since the unit was under warranty, I contacted Bonsaii. Unlike many Chinese companies who seem to hide their contact information, finding their email was easy. I let them know the shredder wasn’t working and prepared for the weeks-long back-and-forth of interminable questions intended to delay fulfillment of the warranty.My POC was Mia and response to my query was prompt and courteous raising one possible issue. I answered her query on June 3 at 4:00 o’clock. Today is the 5th, it’s just coming up on 4:00pm and the replacement unit has been unpacked and has already eaten its first stack of paper. Where do you find warranty service like THAT!?? <48-hour replacement!How refreshing! A "No BS" company that stands behind their product and has LIGHTING FAST service!Rest assured that for the less demanding user, these shredders will far outlast the 9 months mine survived. They are solidly built (I've broken shredders before) and should last for years with normal home use.I've also done a lot of reading about shredders since mine failed, and it is recommended that the shredders be lubricated (something I did not know). You can buy specialized "shredder lube", but mineral oil seems to be the main ingredient, it can be bought for less and you probably already have it on your shelf. One thing I had not noticed is how much louder the old shredder was getting. The new one is quiet and with the help of mineral oil, I hope to keep it that way.Actually, I figure Bonsaii should get more than 5 stars. The shredder broke down, so that's maybe not 5 stars, but where have you heard of this level of customer service recently, and how many stars is THAT worth!?

   Quality shredder

   This cross cut shredder does the job. Not to big. Does a fine job with multi sheets. They say it will shred 12 sheets at a time, it does. Mind you we are talking about standard copy paper weight paper not heavy 90lb paper.Not the quietest shredder but does that really matter.

   Works great!

   I purchased this exclusively to process a ton of cardboard; I initially worried that it would not be suitable but it works great. I’m able to shred almost every type of cardboard (some boxes are too thick to feed, which is fine as I use them to house the shredded stuff).It does run hot after a little while, which is expected since I’m making it work much harder than it’s likely intended to. It also has an indicator light that will let you know if it’s getting too hot. I just make sure to lubricate the shred gears with WD-40 occasionally and only shred a few boxes in a sitting.I’d recommend this in general, and I’ll probably get another one if I end up burning this one out to (admitted) misuse.

   works great- worth the money

   This is definitely worth the money. Best home shredder I have used. Did not overheat or jam. I was cleaning out my filing cabinet and had a huge pile of paperwork to shred. I was able to knock it out in about half hour or so. Definitely recommend.

    Definitely Worth the Cost!

    Shredding has never been my favorite task. In fact, I avoided it until absolutely necessary. This has changed with my purchase of this Bonsaii shredder. So far, every irritating aspect of previous shredders is missing. It’s a pleasure to use because it actually works as advertised. No overheating has occurred with normal use. Really shreds into small enough pieces that no one will bother taping together. Simple where it should be simple yet sturdy and well-made. I love it! Highly recommend for home/small business use.
