Composting paper plates!
The media could not be loaded.
I’ve gotten into gardening and composting and I always felt so bad throwing away so many paper plates. I researched if I could even compost paper plates and you can if they’re uncoated, which is the only kind we use. As long as they aren’t saturated with oils/grease or dairy then they go right in the shredder and incorporated into my hot compost pile when I need more carbon!They’re probably bleached but it won’t hurt the compost or garden. If you do strict organic everything then good on you but in this house we are realistic and resourceful and not rich lol.So starting small I’m trying to reduce, reuse and recycle what I can to benefit our life and Earth. I’ll definitely be getting a bigger and more aesthetic bin/container for this shredder setup as it is becoming apart of my daily routine. And my kids love doing it!I will be experimenting with some mostly dry food as well. Like avocado peels, lettuce (so many wilted and inedible outer leaves I end up chopping by hand for the compost pile), and some others so I will update after more use.

Overall, great!
I think that it works very well for what I needed. I didn’t want a huge device that I only used occasionally. So this was a great option. My only complaint is that I wish the bar mechanism was a couple inches longer so I could have more flexibility on the cans/boxes I can rest it on. I also believe the cord is a bit on the shorter side so it limited where I could put the device as well. Still a great option for my purpose.

I know it’s a cheaper unit, however it cuts 4 pages fine but not the 6 pages it said in the description. It will do 6, I just think it’s a struggle.
