Nothing was accurate/no customer service.
At most it would say I took a one hour nap. For the price and me specifically wanting to track my sleep, it was an absolute return. Bc it wouldn’t track a full nights sleep, it wouldn’t upload a temp to NC. Which is the only other reason I got it. And there is zero customer service from either company. At least happy I tried through Amazon return wise.

Too much money for what you get….
$400 plus $7 a month is just too much for what this Oura ring gives you. It would also be nice too actually see that my O2 numbers where throughout the night not just a few ticks on a graph.

The sensor lights are even brighter than the previous Oura Gen3.
I stopped wearing my Gen3 ring because at night, in a darkened bedroom, the lights are bright and unsettling. I was excited to read on the Oura announcement that the sensor lights on the new Gen4 were more “discreet,” which I expected to be dimmer (or unseen).I wrote to Oura before this new purchase and asked about the glowing lights on the Gen4 version. They replied that the lights are invisible to the human eye. In fact, the lights on the new Oura Gen4, despite being more recessed into the body of the ring, are even brighter than the previous generation. When both the green and red sensors are on, it’s even brighter than the two images I’m including for this review.Two stars I give are for Oura’s efforts to help biohackers further understand their sleep patterns. Nevertheless, I’ll be returning the ring.

Average Ring – Poor Quality
My wife purchased originally the Gen 3 silver and for a month she kept saying how she loved the gold one. She went ahead and bought the Gen 4 gold and here is the feedback…Pros: Lighter, Thinner, better look than Gen 3 on the fingerCons:- The color gold is more like a brass color, very disappointing!- Wore it for less than a week, and has already scuffed without doing any activity that could scratch the ring.- I am okay with paying a subscription, but if the app offers more features. Paying a subscription to just track your sleep it’s a bit much, especially when you have to sync it with other apps.Conclusion: Charging $150 extra for the gold compared to the other options seems very excessive. I see the benefits of tracking sleep, but for $500, I’d prefer to buy a real gold ring that retains its value instead of this one.

First thoughts
The media could not be loaded.
The setup was easy. The ring seems to run a tiny bit bigger than the sizer ring. I expected the size 8 to be snug like the sizer ring, but it is not. I like that airplane mode can be kept on and still record data. I’m mildly disappointed in the color. I chose brushed silver because I didn’t want it to be so shiny. As you can see in the picture, it is shiny, and catches the light. I was hoping it would be more understated. For color reference if you’re deciding between the colors, the second picture is in front of a brushed stainless steel appliance without light reflecting off the ring.

Love!
I just got this today but I already prefer it so much more than a smart watch. It takes a week of wear to get certain details but I’m so excited to continue using it. My main focus was for fertility tracking and get to understand my body/stress better. The insight after day one is well worth it. Very accurate so far and the fit is great. Versatile enough that I can wear it on a few different fingers too. Typically a size 6 and I ordered a size 9.

Scuffs and scratches
The media could not be loaded.
The app is pretty awesome. I love learning about my sleep habits… however for a ring that’s supposed to be worn daily, it was showing scuffs the first day I put it on! Super disappointed that I paid so much for a ring that looks scratched.

Rose Gold looks more like Gold
The ring itself with the tracking has been great. I knew that the app was $5.99 a month but I just used my HSA to pay for the annual subscription. I’m mostly disappointed with the color. The new ring is an upgrade from the 3 and fits better too. The app is one of the best for moderate athletes to those just wanting to track sleep. Downside is the monthly subscription but it’s not that expensive compared to whoop ($6 vs $20 a month). If you are comparing whoop and Oura and are not a tri athlete – the ring is for you. If you primarily lift weights it can get in the way more than a normal wedding ring. Overall happy with my purchase.

You will have to pry this ring off my dead body
I love this thing. I was never wearing my Apple Watch and needed something with long battery life and more sensing features. For once in my life my sausage fingers come in handy because it fits on 3 of my 5 fingers well enough to track. I like to wear it on my thumb because it very much looks like a man’s wedding band. If they made a daintier version it would be *chefs kiss*. I did however rate it 4 out of 5 because it does not recognize yoga/ some activities on its own. Also if you type…it counts as steps, so that’s not accurate. One last critique…if I’m paying 500 for something I shouldn’t have to pay a monthly subscription, I think that’s a sham. I do love it though despite its few flaws and it’s helped me understand where I need to do better on my fitness/ health journey.

Love the new design but the change in sizing doesn’t work for me…..
I have the Oura 3 ring and love it. So I was excited to try the new 4. I love the all titanium body and flat sensors, however, it doesn’t fit the same as the 3. The same size in the 3 (which fits perfectly) is now too large and the size down is too small. Even trying it on a different finger, I have the same issue. I am now one of those people who need a 1/2 size which they don’t offer. I tried one of the adhesive ring sizers however, the ring doesn’t fit on the charger once a sizer has been added. So unfortunately, I had to return and stick with my 3. I really hope Oura will consider 1/2 sizes in the next upgrade. Seems enough people have this issue that it would be worth considering.

the gold is so brassy.
the ring itself is amazing. I am a yellow gold girl and returned for the silver. it is so brassy and fake looking. for being so expensive it should at least look nice next to my real gold jewelry. the silver is a true silver in my opinion. and looks good with mixing metals. had for a week and so far comfortable to wear, battery life seems good. I charge it daily for 10-20 min depending how much charge it needs just so I get in the habit. the algorithm is still calibrating to my body but it picked up on my “dance” activity at a party which I thought was so impressive. excited to see what health info it will tell me in the future.giving 4 stars because the gold color is not true and that’s something to consider for daily wear.

Like the ring, really dislike the color
I was disappointed to see how brassy the gold ring is. The ring itself is great along with its functions. It’s also light weight. But I’m having a really hard time getting over the fact that it looks brass and not gold. The brass color definitely makes it look cheap if you didn’t know that it was an Oura ring. I wore an another gold ring of mine next to the Oura ring to show the difference in the gold color.

So far, so good!!
I’ve had this ring for about 24 hours now and I’m loving it so far! The fit feels pretty much like the sizer ring was. Maybe a little bit more snug but not much. It’s used about 10% of the battery running in regular mode. It’s been really good about tracking steps. I went for a walk earlier and it detected that. Some of the other features don’t have data yet because it needs a few days to a couple of weeks of collecting data to establish a baseline. I’m okay with that. The finish is more shiny than I thought it would be. Since I work in a shop, I’m going to have to find a way to protect it so it doesn’t look like crap after a couple of weeks. I’m excited to see what all it can do once it has my baselines established!

Doesn’t feel as smooth as the Gen 3
I wanted to like it, but…The edges on the Gen 4 aren’t eased like they are on the Gen 3. I feel the difference and don’t think I’ll get used to it. It’s like wearing a steel washer on my finger. It’s not going to cut you or anything, but it’s getting caught in my hair, and I have straight, fine hair.The smoother interior without the epoxy bumps actually makes it harder to keep the ring in the right position on my finger. I had to keep spinning it back into place. I sized using the Oura Ring 4 sizing kit, so it’s not that I ordered the wrong size.A smaller issue – the charging cable didn’t come with a USB or plug adapter. It’s USB-C on both ends. If you’re like me and all your adapters are USB, you won’t be able to plug this guy in to charge it or set it up until you get the right adapter. The Gen 3 came with a USB-C to USB cable, and I was able to use that to charge the new ring.I was looking forward to the improved sensors on the Gen 4, but if it doesn’t feel as good as the Gen 3, it’s not worth the tradeoff for that one minor improvement.

The new version 4 is very comfortable and tracking is very accurate. This is my 2rd Oura ring and the subscription is worth it. They update the ring with new features so the subscription helps to keep the updates coming. Love this tracker.

Anticlimactic
As someone who owned the GEN three, I have to say the newest one is quite a disappointment. There were a couple things I did like about the newest one. It is definitely much lighter in weight and I do like how the sensors are recessed. Unfortunately, that’s the only thing I liked about it. Mine did arrive with fingerprints all over it along with either scratches on the bottom or something stuck inside the coding. Either way for a $500 price tag that is just unacceptable. My biggest complaint however is how the rose gold looks nothing like the GEN three whatsoever. I expected some difference in the coding of course, but this essentially looks straight up gold. I’ve heard from other people the newest gold coding is almost bronze and unappealing. Or as a rose gold comes off like a dirty gold. That is unfortunately accurate. Is also misleading based upon the photos on ouras Website they definitely enhanced the color because I was expecting a beautiful rose pink light color like the current one I have from the previous generation. And it was nothing like that. It honestly just looked cheap. Sadly it’s going back.

I bought it for me, but the size didn’t fit. I bought the sizing set, and a size 8 fit my thumb perfectly. The actual ring slips off my finger. It’s also too bulky for my style. I prefer my watch and Apple Health, but I was looking for an alternative to night time tracking only.I gave it to my husband, who wears it on his pinky. He prefers not to wear a tracking watch, so he’s thrilled with this option. He found it easy to set up, and is very interested in the tracking details,

Very yellow but accurate sizing
So far I really like this product I will say it’s pretty yellow compared to my other gold jewelry but it’s not that big of a deal. I do think the sizing kit was pretty accurate I got a size 8 to wear on my pointer finger and then my middle finger for when I go on walks and sleep to make room for my fingers swelling. Kinda crazy pricing BUT I am super excited to see all of my stats and really excited for the menstrual cycle tracking. I wear a Fitbit on my other hand and really curious to compare the data it picks up between the two 🙂

LOVE THIS RING
I love this in opposition to the previous generation (which I had and sold to get this one). I love how slim it is and the gold is a pretty color as I had a different color before. It’s so much lighter and slimmer. I play golf and can wear it comfortably on either hand, if you get used to it.

Working and looking great.
I purchased my Oura Ring 4 Stealth (size 12) from the “Oura Store.” I’ve been an Oura Ring user since the first series, and I’ve loved it from the start. Seems Very Accurate!
I’m always very skeptical of smart products as I’ve found them to be very inaccurate for measuring and analyzing sleep and exercise but I have to say that this Oura ring surprised me. I sleep terribly at night because my dog and cat sleep with me and are up and down on and off the bed all night and this ring accurately captured my detailed sleep patterns, as well as accurately knowing I’m exercising.

Awesome company with a wholistic approach to health/fitness tracking
I run, bike, walk, and weightlift daily. I also eat an all plant based diet. I am a father of three children and an environmental specialist (I work in permitting)… where I am going with this… I don’t know… but that’s a a little about my background.I am pushing 40 years old and I have care about my health most of my life. I like that Oura is more focused on overall well being while I have an Apple Watch to track my fitness and confirm some metrics my Oura ring may be recording. Oura makes great/informative suggestions/feedback regarding day to day life and overall well-being. $5.99 is a small price to pay to support a company that focuses only on this product and is way ahead of the competition in product development and accuracy. Seriously… that’s less the a coffee most people have each day to put stuff into perspective. I support the company and want to see the advance and improve. So I am ok with their reasonable subscription model to be worth investing in and sustainable.I am upgrading from a Gen 3 to a Gen 4. My initial impressions are good. Regarding fitment… they are about the same for me. I wear a size 10 in both generation on my index/pointer finger. The main difference is that the three bumps are not protruding on the Gen 4 as with the Gen 3. It is a little more comfortable in my experience. I have the brushed titanium finished in both generations. They both look very similar on the outside. The LED lighting and tracking is definitely different behaviorally in both models… these two rings seem very much different from a hardware perspective. Originally, I thought my Gen4 ring was defective, but after getting a second one I found that perhaps it is not. Only one of my green LED’s was turning on periodically with the Gen4 when tracking heart-rate. The Gen3, both Green LEDs always came on for me when tracking HR. I noticed on the gen 4 that the red light that comes on at night will sometimes be complemented with a single green LED (it uses infrared LEDs as well… a little more going on with the Gen4 while sleeping it seems)… interesting tech.Cool story to share. I recently got a bacterial infection from an insect that bit me… maybe Lyme’s disease. The Oura ring picked up on my body’s elevated temperature before a regular forehead and under the tongue monitor did. I was not feeling well on and off, but the Oura Ring (gen 3) caught onto it right away. Great for not feeling bad and having evidence to share with your co-workers for why you may have had to take time off lol. Also, it was great to share detailed information and photos of when I became symptomatic to file for worker’s comp. No, it is not a medical device, but it gave me more data, support, and a timeline to figure out what was going on with my body. Kind of important when getting medical treatment and understanding (being aware) what is happening to your body.For those who like to be aware of their body… being mindful and intone… I highly recommend the Oura Ring Gen4. I also think the Gen4 is worth the upgrade over the Gen 3. I have less errors over night (dropped info) with my data. Also, it is much better about recognizing my activities and saving them.

Charger doesn’t work
