I guess it does the job
Technically, it does what it’s supposed to do but I had to roll it on my face many times for it to be effective. I was under the impression it’d be a lot quicker. It also doesn’t last, and it’s a little tedious to have to continuously roll it over my face repeatedly, so I got turned off. I went back to my pressed powder.

This is magic!
This is magic in a rollerball. You roll it on your face and the oil wisps away. Perfect for that midday oil buildup. There is no chemicals, just a roller ball that takes the grease away. I have been using for a few weeks now, and bought a couple to keep around in my car, my purse and at home. I love not putting additional creams/products on my face to get rid of oil!

What a surprise!
I was excited but skeptical about this. How was this roller going to magically make all the shine go away?!? Guess what…. It works!! I get shiny after a while, thanks menopause. I used the roller,it left no shine and refreshed my makeup without making it budge. It’s now a purse staple!!!

Best purchase ever!
This just makes touch ups on the go so much easier. Instead of a million blotting sheets you literally just need this one tool. Super easy to pop apart, wash, and it dries quickly. So easy to just chuck in my purse and go. It only lost a star because the clear plastic dome lid that covers actual ball is really flimsy and pops off a lot. I actually lost the lid at one point. However I’m still totally ordering another one and just rotating which one goes in my purse with a lid because I need this tool!

Well it works! But I don’t use it as often as I should.
I have SUPER oily skin. The kind where my face is absolutely caked in it within an hour of blotting. I have tried all kinds of methods for oil reduction and frankly, nothing has helped me. I usually use oil blotting sheets or 1 ply toilet paper throughout the day when I wear makeup but decided to buy this Revlon Face Roller for a more environmentally friendly oil blotter option.This thing works! I just roll it all over my face slowly and it absorbs the oil, leaving my skin fairly matte. It doesn’t over dry my skin, it is reasonably priced, it picks up my oil without picking up my makeup, doesn’t smudge my makeup or make it cakey. I was actually pretty surprised! I also have acne prone skin and this hasn’t given me any breakouts but I wash it after a day of use. It’s easy to clean the ball and replace it in the roller (just water and mild soap).That said, I don’t use this often. Not because it doesn’t work but because blotting with 1ply TP is quicker and easier for me than carrying this around 24/7. I definitely think it’s a good buy, but I just don’t find myself using it as much as I should. All in all, I would totally recommend this roller if you don’t mind bringing it everywhere with you.Hope this helps!

WOW!!! (And How To Clean The Stone)
This is hands down the best beauty device I’ve ever owned. My skin is super oily. It’s been such a challenge to find the right combination of products so that my makeup stays on in the Florida heat. What makes it so difficult is having to wear sunscreen. The moisturizing ones make my face greasy within 2 hours. The matte oil absorbing ones cause foundation to go on patchy ad textured looking. And if I have a mask on and take it off patches of smeared and melted sunscreen plus foundation are all over my nose and mouth area.That is one of the things I”m loving about this volcanic roller. You can use it without having to touch oil blotting papers or your face. Just take the cap off and roll this all over your face. You dont need a mirror, just roll it all over your entire face. What this does is it removes the oil while at the same time pushing the makeup back into your skin.It rolls out the patchy areas! I have never found a product that can actually fix or touch up ruined makeup before. I always had to take it off and reapply. This roller changes that completely!As for other reviewers saying their face was oily again within minutes, I havent experienced that any more so than with a blotting paper. Oily skin gets oily again no matter what I’ve tried. But I’ve never used anything that can remove shine while pushing all the makeup back into place. It also works great to remove the look of makeup that settles into pores on the cheeks beside the nose area. Even with blotting papers, those would remove shine but not make my makeup look just applied. This does that.Getting the stone out is a challenge if you threw away the packaging. Its actually super easy, you just twist the top clockwise and it all comes apart. I wash mine every couple days.I noticed a lot of reviews saying the stone never washes clean of makeup. It actually does, you just need to use face wash to wash the stone. Not a moisturizing kind because the stone will just absorb that oil from the product but something like Biore charcoal face wash. A grease cutting kind. Or use Dawn dish soap.I look back at all the years of my life and the challenges with constant makeup checking and blotting and powdering and looking for combinations of products that layer well together…. and now it has all been solved, with just this stone? It really has!If you have oily skin and face similar issues try this product and take the tips I just gave you for the best way to use it. I believe it’ll work for you too, its just matter of not letting product build up on the stone. The people who are experiencing that are either using plain water to was it, or a moisturizing cleanser to wash it so it isnt coming clean.

Really great tool, wish I bought one sooner.
Tried it out as soon as it arrived. It’s works. I hate carrying around blotters just because you have to use multiple and then you just hold on to the nasty little balls of oil until you find a trash can. On top of that the cardboard packaging just never holds up. I tried the roller as soon as I got it. Amazing. I have also carried around a Bare Minerals compact of their translucent powder. The powder is great but the consistency is so soft and fine that the pan got annihilated just from being jostled around and covered my purse with powder. Was super happy about that. This roller is compact and simple. Not sure how well it will do after months of use, but I’m imagining I can easily clean this. Will update in the future. Long story short I love it so far!

Shine be long gone!!!
I’m super excited to report this works. I’m an oily skinned woman in my early 40’s who wears minimal make up daily, but I’ve had to rely on blotting my face with either blotting sheets or tissue 2 times a day to look fresh. I slowly rolled the applicator all over my face after dinner and I couldn’t believe how good of a job this did to remove the shine on my skin. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a miracle worker where I looked like I had just applied fresh makeup, but it did a great job. I was noticeably less shiny with a semi-matte looking finish. I did notice very slight transferring of my make up in the oiliest areas of my face (nose & forehead), but it was minor and could easily be touched up. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with oily skin and I love how sustainable, compact, and cost effective the item is. I will be buying a couple more of these to stash at work and in my purse. Glad I found this!

Surprisingly Useful
As someone who has used the little oil blotting sheets for years, I was skeptical but hopeful about the face roller. Regardless of my setting spray, the blotting sheets had a habit of taking off at least some of my makeup when I would use them, which could sometimes leave my makeup looking patchy, but at least not oily. I stumbled on this face roller entirely by accident (yay algorithms) and decided it was cheap enough to give it a go.First use, I was winging it and assumed I could just do a zig-zag with the roller to get rid of the oily parts. I’m not sure if it was just my particular roller or if it is true for all of them, but that was a mistake! The ball got stuck multiple times and would drag across my skin, scraping off makeup in the process and not doing a very good job with oil reduction. That was frustrating and disappointing, but I decided I would give it another try later.Second use, I tried only running the roller in one direction for each swipe. It worked like a charm! The oil absorbed flawlessly, even the oil on and around my nose, which I wasn’t sure the roller could get to very well. By only going one direction with each pass, my makeup stayed put and the ball rolled smoothly.I’ve been using this roller for a few weeks now and it has become an essential item for my purse/backpack. Cleaning it is easy – just some water and my cleanser, then let it air dry overnight and pop it back together as I do my morning routine.Last note, I saw that one of the “features” of this product is “giftable” – please be thoughtful if you want to gift this to someone. Some people may have no problem receiving this as a gift while others may become embarrassed and then never use it just because it reminds them that you think they have an oil problem (which may be accurate, but chances are the person knows they have an oily face and they may be self-conscious about it). What you could do instead is mention that you saw this product and thought it was a neat idea. If you really want it to be a gift, give them an Amazon gift card for around the same amount “just because you’re awesome” or something. Not everyone is sensitive about these things, but some people are, so just use your best judgment, and thanks for being thoughtful! 🙂

It Actually Works!
I am shocked how well it made skin a matte finish! The only thing I would like to see improve in this product is if the clay ball could roll easier. Overall, I would recommend this product if you are looking for a quick fix for oil control like before a meeting or a photoshoot. It’s small and feels great on the face too!

Amazing!
It is perfect for your oily skin. When you’re travelling in summer heat and your skin starts to get oily, it just picks it off your skin. I used this very frequently on my recent trip to Europe and it was a game changer. I had a face full of makeup , but it did not take it off. So a big bonus and it used to keep my face fresh throughout the day.

Great little tool!
Not sure why I haven’t bought this sooner, but this roller works great at absorbing excess oil. One thing I do like is that it doesn’t strip your skin of its natural oil layer, just takes all the extra that can be annoying to us!

Kind of Works
I don’t hate this product, but I’m a pretty oily person and find it doesn’t clear my skin of oils as good as a regular oil blotting sheet does. I also took mine apart to clean and the locking system seems to be broken and I can’t put it back together again- not sure if I am just not doing it correctly or if it’s a flaw of the product. I followed the directions but still can’t get the ball to lock back into place. It definitely reduces shine, but my skin type needs a little more absorption than this is able to provide.

This is for the ROSE QUARTZ roller. It is NOT meant for oil removal!!!
Please disregard low reviews for the ROSE QUARTZ roller complaining that it does not remove oil. It is NOT meant to remove oil. The ROSE QUARTZ roller is meant to “depuff, cool, and revive skin.” And that it does. I LOVE the cooling affect that it has! I keep it in the fridge for extra coolness but it is cool on its own, making it great for travel and for keeping in a purse or cosmetic bag, especially given its small size. I knocked off a star because you need to hold it exactly perpendicular to your face and be careful so you don’t pinch your face in the roller, especially around the delicate eye area. Roll slowly and carefully and you’ll be fine!

I’m shocked! This is pure magic. Instantly eliminates shine/oil from my face better than blotting tissue can. I just got it so I’ll have to see how long it lasts until it needs washing. Small enough to carry in your purse too! Works exactly as marketed… I tried rolling on half of my face like it showed and it was a night and day difference; one side oily and shiny yet the other side completely matte and did not wipe off my makeup.

It’s nifty
Having combination skin, it can be difficult to manage dryness and oiliness under makeup. This helps to address the oily spots of your face without disrupting your makeup. Unfortunately, you have to use it repeatedly in a day which increases the frequency of having to clean the ball. Nonetheless, it works!

Really great reusable product.
TLDR: This is a great replacement for those oil blotting papers and looks less gross and produces less mess. Wash with dawn dish soap.Honestly, I tried to take some photos of this thing in action but my phone’s camera isn’t that great so it doesn’t pick up the important details. But putting this on only half of my face the difference is noticeable immediately. This isn’t a cream, or any application, it’s just a smooth volcanic rock that absorbs oil. But it works brilliantly. My skin is extremely oily, to the point I use the maximum prescription strength meds on it that I can get before accutane.. so even with those meds, by the middle of the day, my face is oily. This really convenient stick just rubs smoothly on the skin, picks up the excess oil, and is so gentle because of the nature of it you can directly apply it to the eyes. It’s cool and soothing as well. The left half I had applied it to to compare was more matte, while my right side’s forehead and cheek was glossy and reflecting the bathroom light easily. If you’re just wanting a quick touch up this is an amazing on-the-go thing.If you use oil blotting sheets constantly, or used to use them but then stopped buying them because they’re expensive and what’s the point after a while, give this gadget a try.Side note, if you’re suffering from acne like I do, my really quick 2-part afternoon routine that helps: Pick up excess oil with this thing, and then powder your face with a mixture of airspun translucent powder mixed with Mario Badescu Special Healing Powder (it’s sulphur, really great stuff for fighting acne, and it doesn’t smell bad) in a portable pump-brush and this keeps my oily face matte for the remainder of the afternoon.The price of this thing was right too, I got it for $10, which is less money than a month’s worth of oil blotting sheets.To clean it, just rub dawn dish soap all over it for about 30 seconds, rinse entirely clean, and set to dry (I put mine on one of those reusable cotton face wipe pads).My only (teeny, tiny) gripe about it is that the handle is unnecessarily long. I wish they’d have created a shorter travel-friendly handle, because it’s really useless beyond the ball itself and making it that big wasn’t needed, especially since it doesn’t store, like, a second roller ball or something. But I think they were going for ergonomics and looks here.

As someone with oily skin I like how it lifts the excess oil off my skin without taking much of my base makeup with it and without making me look chalky and dry. Let me first say, I’m a good Christian woman. I never wanted to mess around in black magic, but after purchasing this thing not only am I wondering what else the devil will sell me for less than $15, but also why I never found this thing sooner. There’s no other reason this thing works as well as it does for as inexpensive as it is than some twisted wizardry.All jokes aside, I am floored. I saw the videos. I saw the reviews. I figured I’d give it a shot.My skin creates more oil than KFC will probably go through in a year, and nothing ever works for me. I’m constantly breaking out, continuously trying to blot, and eternally dreading looking at my face in the mirror after I come home from work. Not anymore! Now I’m stoked to use this thing! As for cleaning frequency, because my skin just hates me I can assume I’ll be cleaning it every two to three days to rid it of the oil it yeeted from my face. No big deal. Super easy to take apart, super easy to put back together. It’s also super small. If I had normal sized pockets like my boyfriend’s pants did, I’d be nervous I’d lose it. But I don’t, because I wear clothes made for women. So whatever pockets I DO have, this thing will still fit right inside of them. Buy one. Buy eight. I don’t care. Just listen to me, you’ll love it.

It does take off oil and grease! Holy cow!
So I was a bit skeptical when purchasing this. However I did read the Reviews and decided to give it a chance. I have combination skin so some days I’m very oily and some days I’m dry. I live in a tropical climate so it’s very hot but the grease on my face chileeee…I kaint. So I bought this and used it right away and Boom! I was impressed on how it immediately swept up the oil offy face! It was like a sponge just sucking up everything! I followed the instructions on how to wash it and leave it to dry (which takes a long time) however it did the trick again and literally sucked up the oil off my face. I am very pleased I bought this and would highly recommend for persons with oily skin

It works!
They’re are 1000 mattifying products out there, and I haven’t tried them all, but this one works and it works instantly! I didn’t want to shovel out the money for the Murad mattifier, so i thought I’d try this and it’s absolutely perfect. If you have a shiny forehead, you need this!

A must have
I have several of these I keep on hand. I have one for days I don’t want shine and don’t wear makeup and also have them for my makeup days. I have shiny oily skin and this little roll on does wonders for my skin. I was so impressed with how well it sucks up the oil from my skin and leaves no shine. I highly recommend

Skin was flaky and peeling after use. . .but it works.
I bought this for my brother because he has severely oily skin and he doesn’t wear makeup. This product looked so fun (I’m easily amused) and he graciously let me roll the product all over his face. I was shocked at how the oil disappeared wherever this contacted his skin. I proceeded to joyously roll this all over his face as if I was playing a lawn mowing mobile game. It mattified his face perfectly! I was so proud of myself until he called me the next day to tell me that his whole face was peeling! Now he refuses to speak to me because I mutilated his face. I do not recommend.

Decent I guess.
It is very noisy rolling around squeaking in the plastic handle. It does take the surface layer of shine (oil) off of your face but there is nothing to keep it from coming right back. I felt like I was using it constantly and the ball started looking pretty gross so I didn’t keep it long.

Been Needing This My Whole Life!!!
If you have oily skin, trust me when I say you need this is your life. I have the oiliest skin in the world. Like, it’s b.a.d…..you can scrape the oil off my face with a knife like frosting in only 3 or 4 hours after completely washing it. I go through oil blotters like toilet paper. Blotters work well, but they’re kinda gross–having to see those opaque papers turn clear like cellophane as soon as they touch your face—eeeewww!!! Then to add insult to injury, you have the now clearly offensive blotter to dispose of.THIS thing, is AMAZING!!! Idk how exactly it works, but it’s got some kind of volcano rock in this roller tube. All you do is remove the cap and roll that little sucker all over your face. The small, cool stone feels pleasant gliding over your face, and as it’s rolling, it picks up the oil like a vacuum. It leaves your skin feeling supple, smooth, and miraculously oil-free, and refreshed. I have used mine at the end of the day in bed. It can to soak up a LOT of oil at once, and you can use it over and over. To clean it, simply remove the ball and wash all the parts, wash with soap and water, then lay aside to dry. Then reassemble the thing, and bam! Just like new. There is no need to worry about ruining a powder puff or a brush. There is no makeup or chemicals in this product. It’s basically a damn rock. And It’s solved a problem I have fought my entire life.It is so easy to use! Roll it all over your face. The oil disappears. It leaves your skin feeling cool and almost chalky, almost…. but not quite. It feels like your face does right after applying a good matte finish primer. There’s no makeup, powder, lotion, toner, etc. in it. The best part is you can use it throughout the day as manyn times as needed. It won’t mess up your makeup. You might reapply powder after using it, but it doesn’t hurt your makeup.Get this little miracle worker. You will be so glad you did!
