Finicky wireless charger
This is a cool safe! It doesn’t look like a safe on the bedside table, but like a large clock radio which is pretty ingenious. So far it’s working really well except for the wireless charging station on top. When the cell phone is not placed just right, an annoying alert keeps beeping. It doesn’t work well for people with hearing issues! The high pitch is inaudible to my husband, but I can hear it just fine unfortunately. We gave up on using the charging function for that reason.

Almost great. Fingerprint reader could be better.
I love everything about it except the finger print reader. The mag charger and display are awesome, the storage size is perfect for EDC items (I have si g in hols-ter, knife, watch &wallet). It is functional and actually look attractive on the night stand.Now the negative. I have only added two fingerprints (one for each hand) which I thought would be enough…but it fails to read either print 90% of the time. Looking at their FAQ the fix is to use all or most of the 20 print memory to record more of the prints to improve the success rate. luckily it has an easy to use combo which is what I use instead now.If you want something that you can open blindfolded in a split second…I wouldn’t get this. If this is more for peace of mind and keeping valuables out of site where time is not of the essence..then go for it.

This is a very high tech desk safe. Tells you when it has been tampered with. You can have the face all lit up or just the clock. It is nice it also has a phone charger built in as well. It has some weight to it as well, just fyi.

Just what I needed – recommended.
Had a few safes for the bedside table but had never been really happy. This is expensive but well worth the in my opinion. It is just what I need. Followed the instructions and made numerous scans of my finger which reduced errors on the biometric reader. My bedroom is dark and it would of been beneficial if the keys lit up before accepting an input so I could see what I was doing and enter the PIN correct first time. if I hit the wrong key in the dark by accident it light the keys up up so i can see what i am doing but it accepts it as a wrong input, so there is a delay as i enter the pin again.

Early Findings . Very sturdy / safe . Lots of great features with 2 downfalls . Just being honest .Fingerprint reader is VERY finicky . Code pad numbers nor bio pad are backlit for nighttime use . Much fumbling around to find them in darkness. They should be lit and on the dimmer like the front panel screen.

No alarm clock
My only major complaint is my own fault. There is no alarm clock on this.Wireless charging on my iPhone 15 has to be just right on this, other wise it won’t charge. But it will let you know it’s off. It is a bit bulky for a nightstand. Easy open, looks nice, setup on the pin is easy, and I feel comfortable traveling with it on short overnight trips.

Looks to be solid product. Fits a full size Beretta px4 storm with light, extra mag, and skin fit wallet. Snug with all three. May only keep the gun and mag inside. Weight of the gun slows speed of drawer opening.

Digital clock that does not support 24h time?!
Overall sturdy safe. Does what it says on the box, and is among the best looking options on a nightstand. The issues are: it’s a digital clock that does not support 24h time, how is this possible, so simple to offer this. The wireless charger is slow, and really needs to align well to charge. The built in usb-c port does not provide enough power to charge reliably, causing start/stop charging on iPhones and iPads. The biometric fingerprint scanner is slow, much slower than any of the competitors I have used (eufy and awesafe to mention some). But seriously, biggest pet peeve is a digital clock that cannot do 24h time… Seriously disappointed in that and was almost going to return it, but as mentioned, best looking option for a nightstand safe I have found.

This is such a great safe!It has several safety measures and a really strong material. The cellphone charger works well but is a little tricky to put the phone on the proper position.I must say my station stop working suddenly! And then I discover that Vaultek has a GREAT costumer service. They asked me for a video and once they saw the problem then decided to send me a new one. Beware, if you live outside the US the warranty won’t work, this time they helped me with an exception. But this is really important to know if you want to buy it and you don’t live in the US.

My husband loves it.
I bought this for my husband as a gift. He’s been wanting one for a while. He is very happy with it. Quality is great. No problems with the fingerprint reader. Love the light inside. I read some of the reviews prior to buying this safe. I usually read the worst reviews first just to get a feel for the problems experienced, all the things I read could be attributed to not reading the manual prior to setup. I love this safe! works as advertised. Its heavy, door opens completely and virtually silent. Sounds can be turned off so it is quiet.Yes, it’s expensive, but I would rather pay a little more and be happy with the performance. If you want to complain about something, ok, how much would it have cost to make it an alarm clock? The wireless charger could have been sunken into the top of the unit slightly which would make it easier to place the phone correctly to charge. Minor issues.Really like this, read the manual.

Good quality but a little pricey for what you get
This is my first Vaultek purchase. It looks great with sturdy construction. Setup is a little more involved, with all the different access options and display features. The digital keycode input is sensitive and responsive. biometric is hit or miss, despite multiple profiles of the same finger at different angles, but still the best I’ve tried so far compared to other brands.The tap screen display isn’t great. Not that responsive and trying to figure out the touch zone to show or remove certain display options is annoying. No way to set the time unless it’s connected through the phone app, and it went out of sync after a few days. No wifi connectivity to track safe status, only bluetooth, which I don’t understand if you’re close enough to see it? The opening system is smooth. Never liked wireless charging, waking up in the morning to a still low phone batt a few times. USB ports are great but not fast charging.For this size and price point, I’d like to see more smart functions, like wifi/app connectivity for alerts away from home. optional display features like different clock types, date and weather. Integrating the keypad and biometric sensor through the touch screen, like a smartphone, would also really add to the incognito mode of the safe.

Nice and easy!
So far, so good! This is a great safe. I’ve owned a few handgun safes, and this one blows the other two away. It is easy to operate and open. I like the fact that it has an internal battery. No more changing out double AAA batteries or forgetting to change them only to find out you’re locked out of your safe and forgot where you put the key. Valtrek made it easy. If your power goes out or you lose power, the safe will be operable for a few days. It comes with an app that keeps access times long. That said, I looked at more affordable safes that do the same thing. This is for a handgun that I never use and only keep for home protection. With that, I wonder if I overpaid for something I’ll never open.The size is nice—not too big, not too small. It fits perfectly on any nightstand. It pops/slides open quickly with the code or fingerprint. I don’t know if it’s worth the hefty price tag. I waited almost two years to purchase this with the 200-dollar credit card rebate during Prime Day with the 5% back. Prime Visa is one of the better credit cards out there, and I use it for all my purchases. In one week, I’ve already seen twenty-five dollars in savings! With my spending habits on Amazon, this card will pay for this safe in no time.

Great vault to keep simple stuff.
Purchased this as something to lock up your weapon to keep out of reach of any unwanted hands. Of course you can put whatever you want lol as long as it fits. Features are very nice, works excellent. Doesn’t take up too much space which is also nice. Really glad I purchased this. Finger print scanner and keypad are awesome. Phone chargers works excellent, is a little picky so make sure your phone is exactly on the charging spot lol but that’s not a big deal. Has extra USB charging ports on the back for other stuff as well. Highly recommend this. Very solid little safe.

Great little safe.
Great product, its very well made and easy to set up, finger print works great and it opens quick. I also purchased the the quick open button, opens in a split second.I like it it because it doesn’t look like a safe and it sits on the bed side table, looks like a side table clock with a phone charger on top.Its not huge inside but it is quite long, do measure your side table. It has enough room for your personal items.

Really cool safe
Overall, I am really happy with this safe. I was impressed with it from the moment it arrived. It was packaged well and super easy to set up. It included a step-by-step guide on how to set up the PIN, the admin fingerprint, alternative fingerprints, and even the app. If you were ever unsure about anything, the company actually made tutorial videos on the setup. The app that accompanies it allows for further customizations, such as interior lighting, sound control, and screen brightness. The app even holds a log of every time the safe is opened, how the safe is opened (it will literally tell you which fingerprint opened the safe), and whether it detects any sort of tampering. Like with any other fingerprint safe, it may be a good idea to scan the same finger at different angles a few times just in case you come at the scanner from a different angle. The safe is very responsive, and I like that it pops open and has an internal light. I almost bought a different brand because it was cheaper, but I am so happy I did not because many of them you have to pull open after it unlocks. When this safe pops open, it is very quiet, which is an added bonus. The safe is just big enough to hold what it needs to without being bulky or taking up too much space. It looks sleek, and I like the Alpine white color because it goes with the minimalist decor of my room. I love that you can change the display so it looks more inconspicuous. You can have all of the information on the front display, such as the status, humidity, temperature, and time, or you can have just time. Of course, the best part is the built-in phone charger. The phone charger works well and makes for a clean, wire-free look. There is a USB on the top back of the safe if you need extra charging ports. It also comes with a cable that locks into the back of the safe (while it is unlocked), which you can tether to the bed frame. I saw that there was a mounting plate, which I am going to order for an extra layer. Again, overall, I am impressed with this safe.

Well worth the price.
For years I’ve followed Vaultek and the products they’ve brought to market and I finally bit the bullet and purchased the D2Si as my first item from them. It’s great. The setup is straightforward and clear. The quality is excellent, Bluetooth, and biometrics top tier. It’s got every option you could want for a desktop/nightstand safe and none you wouldn’t. Having the clock/Bluetooth charger/and safe all in one eliminates clutter on the nightstand. We will see how well it lasts over time but initial impressions are great.

Temperature sensor not good
I liked that the product felt sturdy. Nice little interior light for night time. Finger print scanner works fine. You can’t slide the finger. Must be on without moving.The one thing I didn’t like was the temp sensor on these things are trash. It always shows temp 3 to 4 degrees above normal. Im on a 2nd device with the same issue. If it were 200 bucks I wouldn’t mind a much. But for this price? Thing better read perfect everytime.Phone charger works great.

as advertised
the safe was very robustly protected during shipping. everything was easy to set up. The only thing I could recommend is a longer anti-theft cable. But, now that I think about it I could extend it with something else equally secure to place it where I want it. Excellent product for the money and knowing your items are secure and out of sight. Over priced
I asked my wife for this for my birthday thinking it would be a great addition to my night stand. However, for the price it should work flawlessly. First thing there is a reason why there are cord plug ins for your phone on the back. It’s because the wireless charger is not powerful enough to get through a phone case. So you can’t just lay your phone down and expect it will charge. Second, I loaded my fingerprints as the admin and as a user and upon many attempts I would say it opens immediately about 1 out of 8 times. This is unsatisfactory considering when you need your firearm its typically a right now situation. I would never have spent this kind of money on a product unless it worked flawlessly. It was my birthday present but I’m slightly disappointed as it’s more of a paperweight than a real world usable safe.

Everything.
Excellent product. Don’t buy a lesser safe to save a bit of money. Follow up was excellent and the safe is outstanding. No alarm for clock was my one concern, but the whole world uses their cell phone which charges on top. Interior lighting excellent. Safe quiet. Bluetooth keeps time correct.
