This product works well, it soothes cravings, takes away the urge and it tastes just like Wrigley’s double mint gum. Ive had an uphill battle with tobacco use like most. Quitting several times or switching to dipping tobacco, a very Nasty habit! I rely solely on this product to get me through the cravings and urges. I have complete faith in this product and trust it.

Subtle Flavor BUT Effective When Used Properly
I keep reading reviews lamenting that this product isn’t chewy or minty enough. You aren’t supposed to chew on nicotine gum like regular gum. Follow the directions: chew until it tingles (a subtle minty flavor emerges), park it between your cheek and your gums, when it loses the flavor, do it again. If you want a full-on fresh breath experience, might I recommend… an actual mint?

Completely tasteless.
It does help you take the edge off the urge to smoke but the taste is terrible. You can feel the menthol but not taste it. Totally bland and hard to keep chewing for more than 5 minutes. I will try my best to look past that hoping for results but with this taste I’m sure It will be a struggle.

Difficult to open & hard to chew
These gum pieces come in a format very like what Nicorette used in its early days. The pieces are individually wrapped in a plastic blister that is somewhat difficult to open. The pieces themselves are somewhat hard & do not soften easily in the mouth. They do the job, but if I need to reorder, I’ll order Nicorette brand instead. I prefer the easier to pierce blisters and the flavored coating of the soft Nicorette gum.

It seems to work and is cheap enough. After a week, my gums started getting raw.Unfortunately, it does not have the “candy covering” the other gums have. Zonnic functions the same, but is more like eating Chiclets, while Basic is like chewing used gum. The flavor of Zonnic lasts for an hour, while this never had much flavor.

Horrible – Tatstes like chewing on a pencil erasure 🙁 There was not coating of flavor, just a beige lump, which is how you could describe the taste… a beige lump of erasure. I tried 3 different flavors of this brand; the regular, mint, and fruit. None had any taste you would want in your mouth for any length of time. I spit out all 3 within seconds. I have been chewing the popular brand name nicotine gum for years with great success of not being tempted to pick of any other form of tobacco. But it is getting expensive, so I thought I would try a less expensive alternative. If you can’t chew it at all, it’s not really an alternative. 🙁 So I am back to the brand name expensive version, but alas that is better (and still cheaper) than cigarettes.

When you first bit into this gum it seems like a piece of stale gum. No flavor for about 20 secs. After about a minute the gum chews like normal. In a pinch its better than nothing but I’m sticking with Habitrol.

No flavor and odd consistency
Horrible. I purchased in February 2018. The expiration date was February 2020. So, it is fresh. But, it has only a very faint mint flavor similar to the adhesive on an envelope. Further it is hard with a consistency of a putty rather than a gum. If you collected trading cards as a kid, this is sort of similar to that stick of “gum” that they packaged with the cards.It comes as 22 sheets of 10 blister packs. I sampled four pieces from different blister packs thinking it may vary from one to the other, but they were all the same.I previously bought a 20 pack of the “up & up” nicotine gum (Target’s store brand) in the Ice Mint flavor. It was good. It was softer and kept flavor for a long time. Both are made by the same manufacturer, but they are otherwise incomparable. Perhaps the difference is due to the different flavors?The Target brand was about $0.35/piece; the Basic Care was about $0.18/piece. I thought I would save a few bucks and buy the Basic Care in bulk, but this is barely edible.

Effective and genuine but not as tasty as other flavors
These seem to work well judging by the effects I feel compared to other nicotine products. However, they’re not nearly as tasty as the ice mint flavor of the same Amazon brand nicotine gum. I recommend that flavor, same brand, as they have a much better flavor. These aren’t bad or disgusting, however. So, it might be a matter of personal taste.

Saves me some money
Same gum as Wal-Mart sells, but better price.update – so it’s now amazon gum, with a higher price tag to match the times. It seems to go up and down in price, but never as low as it originally was.As for flavor… I don’t mind. i didn’t smoke cigarettes for the flavor so i don’t look for that in the gum either.update 7-8/2023 – there are differences in product. The one in a darker green box vs lighter green has TOO MUCH flavor. Both labelled identically other than the shade of green. I have it on auto-reorder. I got light green box w/ exp of 2025. Following delivery dark green exp 2024… Hopefully it is a one time occurrence (flavor too strong & sweet).Update- I was sent uncoated artic mint instead of mint. It is disgustingly sweet. For the people who want soft sweet gum, it may be for you. Hopefully I am sent the correct stuff next time.

It works even if there is no taste.
This gum is a fraction of the cost of the brand name, but it works. I quit smoking using this and am still smoke-free, although I am still using the gum. This gum is not coated, so there is just a hint of mint flavor which is gone quickly, so I chew it for a few minutes then pop in a regular stick of gum. There is one advantage to this gum over the brand name – the brand name gum tastes better because it is coated, so you tend to chew it like regular gum, not slowly like you are supposed to. This causes you to swallow more of the nicotine which can cause burping and a fullness in the chest. No worries with this gum as you are never tempted to chew it like regular gum because there is no taste you are constantly reminded that it is not regular gum! People do complain about getting the gum out of the package but if you have at least one longer fingernail it is not a problem. Good luck to anyone who is quitting, it’s not easy but I did it after smoking for 40 years so you can quit, too. BTW I also get the brand name gum because if you call just about any quit line (your state or local hospital probably has one) they will get you the brand name gum for free and also they will offer you counseling and ideas – it’s nice to talk to someone about it and it helps if you know someone will be calling you every week or so to stay on track. Right now I would just LOVE to smoke a cigarette but I am saving my life and about $300 per year so it’s not for me. If I live to 80 I will take it up again!

Works – good price.
So far same price as the best deal I found when buy super jumbo boxes (store with that little red circle logo); and So far this monthly delivery has been great. Don’t have to lug myself out to buy gum (and then buy lots of other stuff). Gum – been chewing for 30 or so years and don’t smoke. Likely not good for heart but at least lungs seem better. After this long have started to get sore teeth occasionally and switch chew side. Chew many more than recommended (for 30 years) but don’t smoke. House is cleaner – all around good. Should try to quit gum – on to do list.

I prefer the fruit flavor over the mint, but at the time of purchase this was $31 for 220 pieces. That’s 60 pieces than my normal Fruit flavored purchased for around the same price.One thing I noticed off the bat is the mint gum is soft as soon as you start chewing. The fruit flavor had a shell like exterior that provided a nice crunch at the start of the chew. This might not be a big deal to others but I was surprised by the difference since it’s the same brand.As far as using the gum, it works great. I’m using it to stop vaping because I’m out of breath all of the time. I’m a chain vaper, so my lungs are constantly coated in juice which makes it hard for the lungs to get oxygen from the air I breathe. I highly recommend this brand for quitting cigarettes and/or vaping. The amount of gum you get for the price is a great value.Some tips on quitting: You don’t have to stop smoking/vaping immediately. Gradually trading gum for smoke sessions has worked for me. Others may prefer the cold turkey approach though. One other tip is to remember that you’re chewing nicotine gum. Don’t forget while chewing and chew for long periods of time. Pack it in the side of your mouth. Especially if you’re new to this. You will get light headed, nauseated, hiccup and get temporarily sick. You need to let the nicotine have time to do it’s work. Don’t just chew chew chew.One last thing, don’t drink beverages while chewing. This will send nicotine down your throat and lead to the side effects mentioned above.Good luck and always remember that you’re doing this because you want to feel better and you will! I felt better after the first day!

Great for extra sharpness
I bought some nicotine gum because of Andrew Huberman’s podcast saying nicotine is good for increasing acetylcholine in the brain to increase learning and memory. I have noticed this effect in myself, and it has turned me onto smoking. I came at nicotine from the other direction, first the gum then smoking. I’m being careful though…

Tastes terrible
It’s supposed to be a mint flavor. There’s very little of that and it tastes awful. Can’t stand to have it in my mouth for more than a minute or two. There’s much room for improvement, which I hope to see so I can have confidence in other Amazon brand drug store products.

Flavorless Mint!
I’ve ordered and used this type of product previously and ordered it on Amazon, but this shipment/product is sub-standard to say the least. The gum pieces are VERY stale, and have NO mint flavoring to speak of. The price was right, but sometimes you get what you pay for- it’s just that the least you could expect is for the product to live up to the description. Won’t order from this vendor in the future…

Do not buy
I originally bought 4 mg ice mint flavor which was really good when it came time for me to try and step down I bought this 2 mg kind and it was a terrible experience the gum is hard and is very rubbery when you chew it, it barely has any taste and the tiny tiny tiny taste you can barely taste goes away after about 3 minutes goodnight waste your money on this product I don’t even want to give this stuff away to a friend because they’re just going to want to throw it away. Maybe I just got a bad batch but I recall reading review similar after I bought it.

Bland and not long lasting
This product is only OK. If you have used Nicorette, you will be disappointed by the negligible taste. But don’t worry, the taste will go away quickly leaving only a bland flavor. Not only that, but the nicotine effect is short lived. I was using the Nicorette 4mg, and it literally lasts for over an hour. The flavor too.

I got these on sale. (I always get the least expensive) So I should give it 5 stars for value & nicotine buzz. Only 4 just b/c they’re a bit stickier than other brands. But I’ll buy them again. Change in product

Husband complained but I’m ok with it
The gum was purchased for my husband. He was supposed to quit smoking by vaping 6 years ago. Now that they are finding out vaping is bad for you, he started to get gum.Now he purchased the leading brand first. He liked the taste and went through two packs in a week. This, the taste isn’t so bad he won’t use it, but he doesn’t like it. So he’s not using it as often. So it’s actually helping. Guess it’s all in how you look at it.

Good product but a 1/100 bad experience helped me quit.
I’ve been using this product as a nicotine replacement for awhile now. I may have been using it too much. Luckily this is the first time I’ve been glad I got a bad product.This was the first and only time I placed an order that my gum was completely stale and had zero taste until chewed for about 45 seconds. The taste then would disappear within a few minutes.Do to not wanting to place a new order I just decided to quit. No longer am I dependent on nicotine. For those who try to quit the proper way with this gum or need a supplement, I recommend this gum.

They’re Kirkland duds
I purchased these towards the end of last January and since then have not vaped at all. They’ve helped me curve cravings, but they are far from perfect. They are tough to chew and only emit just a hint of flavor. I had nothing to compare it to, since this was my first time trying to quit (I smoked cigarettes for 10 years, vaped for 5!), so I went ahead and chewed through the entire pack because the nicotine replacement was helping me. Fast forward to today, I finally finished this box of 220 pieces and decided to try Costco’s Kirkland version of nicotine gum “Quit”. Turns out they are made from the same distributor, except Costco’s actually look like gum! Almost like Amazon sells dud versions. Anyways, the Amazon gum has a yellow tint and feels like you’re chewing on a piece of leather. Kirkland (Costco) is white and has a ton of flavor with a good amount of nicotine. You will notice the color difference in the photos I provided. Oh! And I paid only $45 for a pack of 300 at Costco. Anyways, hope this helps your decision process and you decide to quit! Which is all that truly matters.
