   Bulky and not UL2743 compliant

   Very big and heavy. I was disappointed to learn it’s not UL2743 compliant, so be careful with this product. It seems risky to store it in a commercial or personal vehicle. This product seems best suited for use in a repair shop to jump several batteries.

   Awesome power!

   I’ve only had this jumper for a week but so far it works really well for my truck. It will need charging when it 1st arrives but there was some power just in case you need an immediate use. It’s not that heavy and not too bulky, I love it compared to others that I’ve tried.

   Last long for multiple jump starts

   There is nothing to dislike it works as suspected i have a big diesel truck with two batteries and it jumps them all the time my battery drains down. Most of the time with my powerConverter the battery jumper can use multiple times before charging that’s a plus .

   Wouldn’t charge out of the box

   The charger wouldn’t charge out of the box. The charging adapter was outputting 15V but nothing on the charger itself (supposed to flash a green light). Sent it back, got a full refund and bought a NOCO charger instead (which did work)

   Great jump starter

   When the battery died on my Shelby GT500 I tried to jump start it with cables but the engine would not quite turn over so I ordered the Schumacher 3000 amp jump starter and it spun that engine easily.

   Light but a powerhouse

   I have booster packs in the past and they are heavy, not this bad little monster. Lithium Ion battery rock. I hooked up to my 89 Chevy K1500 with a 350 engine that has been sitting awhile. She roared to life just like a new truck. I was very surprised. Even jumped a few E350 Ford vans and still on first charge. I almost returned but glad I kept it. I hope this helps and you get the same power that I have now. TOP PICK for me!!!

    Good Portable Power Station

    This is definitely a good portable power station. I haven’t had an opportunity to test its jumping-off ability for a dead battery, but it definitely charges devices. I’m certainly glad to have it. However … I would never pay this much (~$290) for this – I wouldn’t even pay half that. I got one from Sam’s Club a few years ago for a little under 100 bucks that is not only just as good – it’s *better* and has more options. So while this Schumacher portable power station is good and works fine, it’s crazy over-priced compared to the other one I own. I have to knock off 2 stars for the pricing.

    Big starting power for almost all any vehicle/situation.

    This Schumacher unit, features dual internal batteries for more starting power punch for your car or truck. This rugged unit features quality materials and construction, the HD clamps are hard wired to the unit (no unplugging or detaching cables). Has a built in led flashlight, and buttons and charge indicator leds on the face of the unit. This units power surpass any of the Auto-Chlor JNC, NOCO, and Hulkman units on amazon. This is as close as you will get to a Pro level portable jumper. I could see this being used in commercial environments without issues (tow company, car auction company, mechanic, rental car co, etc). The price does seem high for the specs/features on paper, but then im sure you are paying a premium for the SCHUMACHER name and branding. Im impressed.

    Average Quality. Powerful with Safety Features.

    This jump starter and power station has all the features that modern ones typically are specified with. The case is plastic but durable feeling. It has a nice large handle for carry. I do find the LED light a little underwhelming. I wish it was larger and that there was also a red or amber one as well. The single 2.4A USB jack is also a little limiting. Could be better. Simple and capable as a jump starter however, with nice safety features built-in. 4 stars.

    What you see is what you get.

    There is no carry case, you get the jump starter and the charging cables, that’s it. It does it’s job well and is meant to be more of a shop tool. I have even used it to charge a scan tool while ive been working on a car, so that’s a plus. The cables are nice and long to you can set it in a secure spot without worrying about the cables not reaching. What i do thing should be worked on is better cable relief where they come out of the jumper, Ive had other jumpers start showing wire around there before and this one is sticking out in a way that it will be getting more abuse than normal especially when winding the cable to put it away.

    Will jump a totally dead battery, longer cables & a bigger battery than smaller jump packs

    This jump starter has a huge battery, long cables & a low battery mode which makes it great for troubleshooting in the shop. The low battery mode allows it to jump a vehicle that has been sitting a long time. Most of the lithium-ion jump starters require a minimum voltage before they will jump but this has a work around. It is perfect for arousing vehicles that have been sitting & for multiple start attempts when troubleshooting a non-running engine.The jump starter has long, 30″ cables which makes it much more convenient than the smaller jump starters for large trucks or cars with batteries in awkward places. The cables are also permanently attached to the battery box so there are no extra buttons or breakers. There are clips on the case that the cables can clamp to to keep the cables tidy. It includes a single 2.4v USB port & an LED flashlight but it’s a bigger piece of equipment & they are on the bottom which makes both of them difficult to use.Schumacher is a trusted brand that has been around for a long time. With this jumper having excellent features I am baffled as to why the cables come directly from the bottom when the handle is on the opposite end. Every time I set it down I worry about the cables & move it to a less convenient position. It does come with an excellent set of English instructions. Engaging the low battery mode is involved enough that I wrote the instructions on the case.

    another power station from a trustworthy schumacher

    Our family has gotten various power station models from this brand, all of which have been working out great over the extended period of time. (So for me, the proven durability is the one of many reasons I trust this brand.)Because of such positive experiences, I don’t even blink to request any of their products as soon as they show up on my recommended page ! This particular model is one of the largest I’ve gotten from them, and it also comes with quite a long cable. See ..our family have vacations homes that we only visit for the season (like winter/summer), and the vehicles we use only in such vacation sites need jump start after sitting in the garage for a long time. This one was tested on the old truck that was parked outside in the our winter vacation site, and tada~ it worked like a charm ! One thing though. Although this is also portable, I would recommend you go for other smaller, more economical options from this brand if you want something to carry in your car all the time ! I am not going to say the cost performance of this particular model is exceptional in terms of overall quality vs price, but decent (not overpriced in my opinion but not a super great deal to be honest).

    Safer than connecting to car batteries together and started on first attempt

    I keep it in the back of my Honda Odyssey because you never know when someone might need a jump and this is certainly safer than connecting two car batteries together. I especially like the fact that it comes with a bright LED work light in the event you have to change a tire or look for the terminal posts in the dark. Nothing more upsetting than realizing you don’t have a flashlight and the overhead bulb under the engine hood that you keep forgetting to replace is still out because you only remember when you are in this situation at night. Nope, never been there before, lol.Anyhow, I drained my battery completely and then hooked this up. It started on first try and so far seems to hold a charge well, just going to have to remember to check this every so often so it isn’t depleted when I need it. Given it is in the back where I put my groceries every week, that should not be too hard to check once a week at least, when I put my groceries back there. The button to prime it also is used to check the charge and if you don’t start up a vehicle within 30 secs it shuts off on its own.It is really worth the money for the peace of mind, especially if you have teenagers. Knowing your kids won’t have to rely on a stranger in the middle of the night to jump start their car and know how to connect two batteries together correctly so they don’t blow each other up after watching a movie with some friends at the local theater is worth it.

    OUTSTANDING build quality; expensive.

    My first impression upon opening the box was how solidly built this jump starter is. I own or have owned jump starters by Clore, NOCO, Gooloo, Vtoman, AVAPOW, Fanttic, Hulkman among others and this is the most ruggedly constructed of the lot. I’m not suggesting any of the others are poorly built, they are not, but this SL1653 is clearly built to take some abuse. I’m not very surprised by that, Shumacher is a well established and respected brand in the commercial battery charging industry.That initial observation is confirmed by further examination. The cables are a substantial 4 gauge, very heavy duty for a compact jump starter. The clamps are of high quality as well. The battery capacity is a very large 96.16Wh.The SL 1653 is rated at 3000 peak amps, a somewhat useless number other than for comparison purposes. You can’t rate these lithium chargers in terms of CCAs or CAs. By definition that is the output over 30 seconds and these chargers can not continuously produce power for that long. You can use peak amps for comparison purposes and 3000 peak amps is one of Shumachers larger offerings in portable jump starters. Battery capacity, which relates to the number of cars you can jump or devices you can charge, is a very significant number and the SL 1653 is rated at a very large 96.16Wh. You will be able to jump a lot of cars with this.I have no vehicles with large displacement engines, so I took this to a friend’s shop. There is a car there with a 5.0 liter V-8 and a dead battery I use as my test mule. The Schumacher started it without hesitation.The SL 1653 is a good bit larger than the typical Lithium-Ion jump starter. The cables are permanently attacked and clamp onto “keepers” on the side of the unit. It has a convenient carry handle on the top and a small, but very bright light on the bottom. The design is very reminiscent of a mini Jump-N-Carry. This will be very convenient for someone who jump starts a lot of cars.The SL 1653 can pre-heat batteries which is very useful in colder environments and has a pre-boost feature which adds a pre-charge to the target battery prior to jump starting. It also has twin batteries, but I must admit I do not know what advantage to that arrangement is.The SL 1653 uses a proprietary charger, you don’t simply plug the female end of a power cord into it.A well regarded YouTuber, Project Farm, did a comparison test of jump starters last year. A similar Shumacher did quite well. It was a pro version and used AGM batteries, but was only rated at 2000 peak amps. The SL 1653 uses Lithium Polymer batteries and is rated at 3000 peak amps.I have a few criticisms/concerns.1. Since this has a separate, proprietary charger and, especially in light of the price, a storage bag should be provided to store everything in.2. Schumacher recommends recharging this after every use or every 30 days. Most Lithium-Ion jump starters can go a year or more between charges.3. Lack of display. Lights only.4. The price. This Shumacher is priced far higher that other jump starters of similar output. Certainly the quality of construction the Schumacher has over just about every other Lithium device justifies a lot of that differential, but I would like to see a storage case and a bit more power output, as well.Price independent, this is an absolute 5 star jump starter…it is that nicely made. I’m deducting one star when factoring in the price for the reasons stated above.

    they goofed on this one

    what seems to be otherwise a good unit has been ruined by choice of wire material, so stiff at 50F as to push the clamps off of battery side terminal bolts. other top brands use silicone wire, ultra flexible when it counts in cold weather. after struggling, trying to keep the clamps on, stiff wires would not let that happen. sadly, I returned it.

    Beast of a starter pack. Was able to start tractors and trucks no problem.

    As others have said, what you see is what you get. This is a beast of a jump starter pack. It has been a welcome addition to our off grid cabin, and has started neighbor’s tractors and huge diesel truck. If you own a truck or tractor, this is a great addition.

    Very strong and powerful

    This is a very solid, very well made jump pack. It is nice and rugged and it works extremely well. This thing can jump start a vehicle without any issue or hesitation. You can store it easily in your tru k without it taking up much space. Very easy and safe to use and at a pricey price point in my view but if you can afford it , it works great!

    Attached is video proof at just how awesome this thing works. I came into work one day and saw that 2 large diesel hinos were dead after sitting . I used this jump pack and it started all 2 of em no problem! Its also incredibly light. Lighter than my JNC branded one and its much much stronger. This is by far the GOAT!

    Big Power @ 3k Amps

    At 3k amps this jump starter has twice or more power than the smaller jump start packs out there. Ideal for my trucks as it brings the cranking power. Easy set up: just hook up the clamps and turn on the pack.My video should give you a feel for this BIG battery pack/jumper.
