Valvoline DEX/MERC ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) is formulated with premium base stocks and advanced additive technology to meet the challenging demands of an automatic transmission environment. Its responsive low temperature fluidity is beneficial in both electronic and hydraulic controlled transmissions and transaxles. It is recommended for automatic transmissions for pre-2006 General Motors and post-1981 and pre-2007 Ford passenger cars (except where a Ford MERCONV or MERCONSP type product is specified) and light duty truck transmissions, as well as many imports. Valvoline DEX/MERC ATF may be used for service fill where Ford M2C138-CJ, M2C166-H, MERCON, DEXRON, DEXRON-II, DEXRON-III, or Allison TES-389, is recommended. I liked this transmission fluid for my Toyotas Camry and Avalon it’s always good to change the fluid every 2 years. It calls for this fluid and it’s more at Auto parts stores..The condition of the old was brown so changing it was a good thing..

Using this to make up the difference between the 6 liters OEM fluid I’m using in my 89 Mercedes 300CE and what I needed, which was about 2 more qts. My MBZ manual says they’ll mix so we’ll see. So far the car shifts fine.

Used it on a 1990 740 volvo (363,543 mile on it) transmission was not acting like it should. Did a transmission flush with Valvoline transmission fluid . Now it runs like new, just like it did when I bought it new from the dealership. Thanks Valvoline

Valvoline 773636 Dex/Merc Automatic Transmission Fluid – 1 Gallon, (Pack of…
I change out the trans fluid in my trans pan every 6000 miles and change the filter every 30,000 miles. I have never had to have a transmission rebuilt in my 49 years of driving various cars. If your transmission pan doesn’t have a plug from the factory, ask your mechanic to weld one in for you so that frequent trans oil changes are not so labor intensive. Let’s add this up…. a few quarts of oil every 6000 miles or face a transmission rebuild costing close to $4,500. I think I will buy the trans fluid.

Good in TH350
This is the blood of the TH350 transmission and it works well in our custom mud rigs. Just a tiny amount of water intrusion will ruin the paper-like seals in the transmission, requiring a rebuild, so I change fluid frequently. You can’t beat Prime delivered to your door. You can save nearly half your bucks watching the two week up and down cycle here.

Valvoline products are very well known and respected in the automotive industry, and for good reason… they can be trusted to do the job perfectly that they are intended for. The price for this particular product works out to be around $3.50 per quart at Amazon, which is really hard to beat, especially considering it’s a very well know and trusted brand.

Buyer Beware !
Used on 02 silverado, calls for dexIII, still working, will see, however I would like to add, this bs pricing going to over 30 dollars and back to 17 and change, well they are baiting you, this stuff can be had at Wall Mart for 13 dollars and change, found this out too late myself, paid nearly 18 bucks each for 2 gallons, Amazon got me for 10 bucks !

Great basic fluid for a trans and power steering flush. I can buy this by the gallon on Amazon for what my local auto parts store charges me for a quart. Fantastic deal! I’ll leave it in the truck for a couple months and then change it for something synthetic for a bit better temp stability.

If you do trans fluid drain and fills, this is the stuff to get!Right away you get better shifts, smoother operation and it will NOT harm the Honda trans which is extremely picky about the fluids used.Highly recommended on many Honda sites for that reason. Great price here on Amazon too!

ATF for 2002 Suburban
This replaced the original DEXRON lll fluid. Used 4.5 qts after replacing trans filter in 2002 Suburban. Was getting some transmission slippage when hauling utility or camper trailer. Mechanic said filter was pretty dirty. Shifts and sounds better. Haven’t had opportunity to pull a trailer yet, but hopefully this cured the problem.

Steel Rust Removal / Polishing
Wipe this straight from bottle on steel. Cut 3M Scotch-Brite Pad to size and install on old 1/4 sheet 110 volt sander. Vary pad grit to produce rust removal speed / finish desired.

Fantastic Price for volume
I needed to flush my Power Steering system on a 2002 Toyota. At $15.91 delivered this fit the bill at a cost comparable to 10oz from the local auto parts store.BTW: If you get a squeal turning the wheel, long before the stops on a 1st gen Tacoma. There is a screen in the pump tank that can be removed (the tank) and back-flushed with something like contact/brake cleaner until you see a clean screen with a flashlight. Don’t need new anything, but look up how to purge flush after fixing the clog. This probably applies to many other vehicles also!
